I wonder if she drives.

I've seen someone ask on social media but no response.
Family are quiet at the moment considering its been nearly a week. I'm not sure yet on this one if there may be some "underlying" issues that are not public yet .. rightly so obviously if its personal.

"Officers believe she may have been in the vicinity of Venns Lane, Aylestone Hill or Commercial road on Friday afternoon. Anyone who was in those areas from 2.30pm – 5pm on Friday 10 December and has a dash-cam is asked to get in touch as the footage could be invaluable in our search for Janet. Officers are also keen to hear from residents in these areas who have CCTV and video doorbells." Link above

Following the streets on the appeal it seems the police feel she may have left Beechwood court turned left then right onto the main A465 towards the city centre

Nearly a week now. That’s very worrying. I would think she would be low risk for a stranger abduction and as she’s fit, she’d put up a decent fight. So, it’s possibly abduction, or a consented lift from someone she knows and subsequently something terrible has happened to her, or she has left of her own free will, which seems unlikely, (you don’t tend to go shopping in Dunelm if you intend to disappear), had a terrible accident or taken her own life.

She’s basically vanished off the face of the earth and it’s extra upsetting because she seems to be a ‘normal’ person, with a low risk lifestyle, someone like my mum.

Detective Inspector Cath Taylor issued an update on Thursday, where she also thanked the public for their continued support in the appeal for information over the disappearance of keen runner Ms Edwards.

"She is a fit and healthy lady and keen runner whose disappearance is completely out of character.

"She is a well-known and liked member of the Herefordshire community having served for our NHS.

Update from Hereford police: specialist officers join search for ex-nurse Janet

So Janet was last seen on Friday 10 December at 2.30 pm but by who? Was it an actual sighting by someone or was it on CCTV footage?

Also police believe after she left Beechwood Court she turned right and then left onto the main A465 - was she on foot or in a vehicle?

If she was seen at Aylestone Hill I wonder if there's any possibility she was heading for the railway station, although I would imagine the police would have checked any video footage from there by now?

I've not seen any mention of her being in a car but as the police are asking people to check their cctv etc presumably she was walking

She looking straight into the ceiling camera on one of the Dunelm CCTV photos.
Just an observation, but there can't be many people who do that as soon as they get a basket and walk into a shop....

Venns Lane, Aylestone Hill and Overbury Road form a triangle around the Nuffield Hospital, with Aylestone Hill then turning into Commercial Road at the bottom of the triangle. I’m wondering if the hospital could be significant as that’s all there really is of note in that very specific part of town.

Radio are saying her car and items were left in Venns Lane.
Police are saying they go not think she has been taken.
Friend saying she was totally normal day before going missing and had a very big race on Sunday that was important to her that under normal circumstances she would not miss

It could be a glimpse from a door cam that makes the difference... a fleeting figure caught on dash cam... a shadow on CCTV...

After a week of searching, such is all police have to work with seeking a woman seemingly vanished from where she was last seen in a residential street on a late afternoon.

Now its down to door cam, dash cam or CCTV footage from the Venns Lane/Aylestone Hill/ Commercial Road areas of Hereford where Janet Edwards would have been last Friday (Dec 10) afternoon.

Specifically, the search operation has now narrowed down a 'last seen' location to Beechwood Court, Venns Lane, at around 3pm that day.

The 66-year-old former nurse has not been seen since.

Thank you JosieJo. I've just typed up a few parts in case BBC deletes after a time -

This was from Jan's friend NT, who was with Jan the day before (on Thursday) -

Q. ...did she seem like her normal self?

"She was, she was celebrating a friend's, another running friend's 60th birthday. We'd been running at Credenhill Woods, there was a group of ten of us, Jan was running with her partner, and she was planning on doing a race on the Sunday, which was a big race for her, it was a masters qualifying race, and we came off the woods, all came back and went for coffee, we were looking through old photographs together, eating coffee and cake, and she seemed her normal self - she was smiley and sociable, friendly, and it's just such a big shock."

Q. ...you're appealing for this footage aren't you, what kind of things do you want people to look for?

"If we could have some dashcam car footage from Friday 10th December, so that was from 2:30 till 5pm, in the afternoon, Jan was in the area of Venns Lane, and her car's there, and other items are there, there's just been no sighting at all, and if people in their homes along Venns Lane could check all the CCTV, no doubt the police have knocked and asked and checked, but we've been out searching since Sunday different areas, we know now the specific area to focus on but it's still worth trying other areas..."

Yes I've seen her sharing articles and appeals.

I meant more that we've usually had direct quotes from family in the press or direct appeals by now ...I dont mean that in any negative way at all but getting information has been quite difficult...information that may have been helpful.
