Hmmmm. Are we about to hear that SB was jealous of LH's perceived "success" with women? Has LH bragged that he's "done this done that" and SB saw an opportunity? Maybe he saw messages between LH and Kayleigh, maybe he just couldn't help his nasty little self. Dark thoughts indeed. I hope he rots.
 
I'd read that when lh got up Sunday morning and neither kh or sb was there, but her shoes were, that he'd assumed she was at sb's. But when he went round there was no answer and didn't answer the phone. Lh then saw him later, who said he'd left kh asleep at lh house and had got the scratches from work. I assumed he meant that's where he had been that morning and why he wasn't in when lh went round??
 
From the live updates - He sounds incredibly immature for a 27 year old, with a very mixed up mind. But the fact that he was still contacting another girl right up to when he was arrested may indicate that he really did not know that SB had murdered Kayleigh.


In conversations with the same girl Harlow described keeping her as a slave, telling her he wanted to keep her naked.

In one message he said: "You can live in my wardrobe. I'll let you out once a day for cuddles."



Harlow continued trying to urge the girl to visit him until just days before his arrest following Kayleigh's murder in November last year.

Passage from today's Leicester Mercury updates: -

14:46 Beadman offered to take Kayleigh home - Harlow
Luke Harlow told police that the evening before Beadman killed Kayleigh he offered to drive her home to Measham the next day.

After the offer was made Harlow tried to disuade her. Harlow claimed he told Kayleigh: "You don't want to be stuck in a van with him when you don't know him from Harry."

Someone help me out here PLEASE.

i do not have children and I don't have much experience with teenage girls however, obviously, I was 15 once myself but that was quite some time ago. LOL

When I read these messages that LH sends to these young girls he is trolling, his intent is abundantly clear and creepy beyond comprehension. Why would anyone meet with this guy when he openly talks of slavery and keeping them naked and wanting to have sex with them?

I am not victim blaming. Please understand that. I am trying to understand why anyone would fall for this? What am I missing? Is it just the attention and they laugh off what he's saying as he's just joking? I really need to wrap my head around this as I find it terribly frightening for young girls.

It's shocked me too as his comments to them, scream "CREEP ALERT!!" to me. So yes maybe they assume he's joking... (and I guess maybe he was)... or like I mentioned before maybe with the S&M 50 shades of Grey books and film being so popular and "mainstream" they assume that the sex slave and kidnap type references are a normal part of a relationship.

I can't remember how soon after Kayleigh went missing he was arrested so it may only be a short time but either way it hammers home to me that Kayleigh was just one of many to him. I think in my head before the trial I'd assumed he'd fell for her despite her age (not because of it) and really cared about her, had mentioned her to his parents and maybe even believed she really was 19. Boy was I wrong!
 
I agree Tealgrove and CP, I find it all incredibly sad that the kind of texts LH sent were not sufficient to warn Kayleigh from meeting him...and I am in no way blaming her, it is just sad to me how things have changed so much, with social media and, as you say CP, mainstream stuff that is considered ok which made him not seem like a danger to her.

I do wonder if LH is pushing all the blame over to SB ........... the line about warning Kayleigh not to accept a lift

BBM - Maybe they did think it was banter? I've a lot of both British and American online friends, that I've chatted with a lot over the years. I don't want to say this the wrong way lol But our humour (brits) can be twisted, heavy in 'banter' Teasing, winding up, purposely offending. I think this is more so in the young, so maybe they thought nothing much of it and brushed it off. An adult mind might be more suspicious and cautious, but a young girl? I could see them dismiss it as banter if they were caught up in the attention.

Yes I had thought the same as you CP, re him actually caring about Kayleigh...
I also cant remember when he was arrested. I know SB was arrested on the Sunday evening, but not sure if LH was at a later date.
It really does say to me that if LH was still contacting girls, after SBs arrest, then it makes me think LH had no idea that SB had killed Kayleigh. Although I am waiting to hear what happened re Kayleigh's shoes. If LH had Kayleighs shoes in his home and they were later disposed of, then how is that explained by LH ?
 
I also originally thought that lh was perhaps an immature person who did care about kh, but was obviously not the case with everything that's coming out.

I'm sure it said the police went to lh's house lunchtime and he had put a load of laundry on, but not cleared up the sick, and was very talkative. They didn't catch up with sb until much later.

I also thought the part in the live updates where sb had said he would give kh a lift home the following day and lh had tried to put her off accepting it interesting??

Two men, aged 27 and 28, have been arrested in connection with Kayleigh's disappearance.

They were detained in the Coalville and Ibstock areas late on Sunday night/early Monday morning and are being questioned by detectives.


SB in Coalville late Sunday night, LH in Ibstock early Monday morning. How early is early Monday morning? I'm reading that as the wee hours, midnight-3am time. MOO

Thanks Skibs. Yes I think it was the midnight to 3am timing for LH

In which case, LH could not have still been contacting girls after SBs arrest...and now puts me back to thinking he certainly could have known that Kayleigh had been murdered
 
LH's behaviour actually makes more sense if he didn't care about Kayleigh and saw her as one of many. I couldn't see somebody leaving somebody they cared about downstairs drunk with a neighbour and going to bed.. however if he wasn't that into Kaykleigh and did have other "options" then yeah , maybe he did leave her downstairs with SB and go to bed. Maybe they even argued about Kayleigh wanting to get a lift home with SB rather than stay longer with LH and so LH went off to bed thinking "Fine , stay with SB". And then maybe he wasn't that bothered that she'd gone in the morning and was just puzzled that her shoes and bag were still there... after all he had other underage girls he could text if she wasn't around and in fact that's what he did.

A lot of maybes, but I'm still undecided on whether LH was any more involved than the initial grooming charge. Areas that make me think he's hiding something though are all of his injuries all over his body and the banging and screaming heard around 10pm when KAyleigh appears to have either been with LH or on her own.
 
I stand corrected. they are just beginning SBs interview transcripts now
 
There is a lot less interest in this case than Becky Watts, I wonder why that is?

Yes I thought that! No major national coverage of the trial? Becky watts was a little unusual in that she was murdered by her 'brother' but ... I think the watts/galsworthy family were very keen to be in the media so ...

I've noticed that. I personally think it's because in Watts case a woman - mother was involved.

As much as I think lh is a pig, I seriously doubt he had any input on her murder. I think beadman did it all on his own. Maybe lh thought he was taking her to his home.
