UK UK - Khasha Smith, 35, Edinburgh, 4 November 2023

I wonder why she isn't listed as missing on Police Scotland website.

ETA I see they have an appeal for info poster and a News article from January though.

With no last known outfit, location or all of that stuff it makes it all the more difficult.

Oh that's just so very sad. Just imagine having to try and move through each day with this level of worry.

Relative Carrie Duke has now issued a fresh appeal calling for answers. She said: “If there is anyone out there that knows where Khasha is or what happened to her, now is the time to speak up.

“Please try to put yourself in our position for one minute. How would you feel if this was your mum, daughter, sister, niece, friend? As a family we are broken, terrified and in physical pain.

“Now multiply that by x1000 and you might be somewhere close to what her mum and children are feeling. At this point we are struggling to breathe, never mind having to try to go through the motions of normal life such as work, school run…it all just feels impossible.

I honestly don’t know how people (friends & relatives) carry on in their day to day life when a loved one goes missing. It must be the hardest thing to get up in the morning and carry on as normally as you can for the sake of the kids.

I really, really hope we get some news on Khasha soon.

Sorry, I’m not sure how to link but fresh appeal done via Police Scotland today from Kasha’s Mum & daughter. Last confirmed known sighting was 10th October 2023.

Where is the info about the partner who went off grid?

I presume this isn't the same man she married?
Answered my own question.

“She lived in the block of flats with her new partner but the police are guarding them now.

“I find it really strange that she hasn’t made contact with her family and especially her kids.

“Khasha separated from her husband, Peter, a couple of years ago.

“They have kids together and they must be going through hell right now."

I think the police will have conducted enquiries to see how long she’s been missing - and they have not corrected the record that they believe she’s been missing for 2 months.

I believe they’ll have done door to door enquiries with her neighbours asking when they last saw her - they will have checked things like her bank account usage, mobile phone usage , social media etc.

I feel the fact they have not corrected the ‘2 months missing’ suggests they have evidence to support this theory.
In a statement released by her family one member says “You will not be regarded as a grass even if at any point khasha has asked you not to say” makes me think she was dealing with some questionable individuals and/or dangerous activities
