hows his family getting on with their petition to free him i wonder!?
It doesn't seem to have got much support so far. IMO, and I am not trying to be controversial, if this was the son of an American Diplomat or some other High Profile person the family would be inundated with offers of help. I'm hoping that a whizz kid young solicitor/barrister wanting to make a name for themselves will take the case on to challenge the murder conviction. Not the disposal of the body as that is not in question. Sorry if any family members are reading this, I am saying this with the utmost respect for your community, the family are not very well educated and they are doing their best with the protests and petition, but it needs brains to bring this back to court to be reviewed.

Completely agree. I missed the middle bit of this case and skim read posts to catch up. I find it quite frightening that you can be convicted of murder with no evidence, apart from circumstantial. Not wanting to be lighthearted about either parties lives, it’s the sort of thing that needs a Netflix style programme investigating.

Hi Roostercat, what has made you reconsider your thoughts?
It's really had me, this case, maybe because it's quite local to me. Still, even though it's hard to imagine there being anyone else involved, there is still a deep lodged feeling of uncertainty that won't shift
Very similar to you in that somethings just don't sit comfortably with me. I am not part of the Rocky facebook group so haven't been blindsided by the comments. The more I think and reread various articles and threads from when Lindsay was a missing person to the trial evidence and also lack of evidence there is just a level of something being not quite right. I have no mysterious new evidence or real gossip to throw into the mix but do believe the defence team were very upset with the verdict.

Thanks Roostercat, yes it's strange, I still keep thinking about it. I don't think a case has ever affected me so much. I tried to join the Justice for Rocky social media page but they blocked me for some reason. Found this strange as due to my profession there may have been ways in which I could have offered some input but hey ho.

I have broke my own rule and posted in this thread again!
I think this case has all been about filling in the blanks and speculating as to what did or did not happen. Whether this is a sound and just way of deciding a judicial outcome is questionable.
Logic and common sense based on some evidence could well point to RMP being guilty but could it also point to his innocence?
I was always comfortable with my belief that he was guilty but I have had some doubts in the past couple of weeks.
I've always thought he was innocent of murder. It'd be interesting to know if any of the jury.. after the trial and if they have looked into the case more... if have had any doubts about the guilty verdict like yourself.

I got on the justice for rocky page.. I messaged one of the admin. Nothing on it really... still nothing new which I find unbelievable. Still not believing they have the murderer. Dee accomplice of some kind but someone else killed her.. MOO

Yes. I'm pretty sure it is as I have it marked for alerts and there hasn't been any posts since Sep until yours on Sat. I still think about this case
I do to.. maybe cause I am so close to it all. Maybe because I truly 100% believe that rocky didn't kill her. I just can't seem to forget about it. I am on the rocky page and there is alot of questions but still no answers... hopefully something will be found that can open the case again

If he didn’t kill her, do you think it was a member of his family? Or someone closer to Lindsay? Or a random?

There was a poster on here who seemed to have a law background. If I recall correctly they tried to join the FB group but it was a closed group. I wondered if they ever made contact. I felt the family needed a bit of guidance if an appeal was likely. Having said that the jury maybe heard more evidence than was reported by the press.

I asked the family if there was more evidence than was reported and they said everything was reported in the press.

I recall the person who was stopped from joining the group and I was removed at some point but I messaged admin and was allowed back in. His poor family really need some help

I think someone closer to Lindsay personally but can't rule out someone else

Do you have any new credible evidence that was not available at the time of the original investigation and trial?

If so, don't reveal it on social media or to other persons other than the police. It is a straight 'yes' or 'no' answer I was after.
