Kevin Park appeared in court Wednesday to be committed to stand trial on a single charge of the murder of Madison.

He did not enter a plea and did not apply for bail. (I think that was wise myself, as in the unlikely event he'd got it, I don't think the local community would have been very welcoming).

Trial will begin at a date yet to be announced.

I can't find a thread about this trial but here is an update for you Zweibel and anyone else who is interested. I have been following the trial on our local news and what this little girl has gone through just doesn't bear thinking about. The evidence regarding her injuries, which included a bite mark and what looked like the sole of a trainer on her face turned my stomach. Closing arguments were yesterday, and I would be very surprised if the accused is found not guilty. RIP little Madison.

How on earth could you harm this little 2 year old? Yes zwiebel this picture IS haunting.
I'm ashamed of the human race. Please, please stop hurting & killing our innocent children.

Guilty!

A man has been sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty of the murder of a two-year-old girl in her own home.
...
As the jury of nine men and six woman delivered their verdict, finding Park unanimously guilty of murder, members of Madison's family shouted: "Yes."

Advocate depute Jennifer Bain, prosecuting, told the court that Park had 38 previous convictions, including a number for violence.

Guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum 22 years. That wee girl's mother left her in the care of a man with 38 previous convictions including violent offences. Heartbreaking.

I wonder if the mother still thinks her man was innocent.

:furious:
The court has heard Madison, who died from blunt force trauma to her head and abdomen, had 65 separate injuries including a fractured skull, tears to her liver and bruising to her head and body.

She spoke of two dents in the hallway of the house........

Miss Bain told the jury one of Madison's hairs was found in the cracked plaster in one of the indentations and her DNA was on both the dents.
