Peter Faulding on BBC Breakfast was interesting. He said:
- Typically, in a drowning, bodies don’t move far from where they went into the water. He would have expected Nicola to be within a few metres of the bench area, if that’s where she went in and is really surprised she wasn’t found there, if she’s in the water
- This is one of the most baffling cases he’s seen in 20 odd years (can’t remember exact number)
- He posited the idea of the phone possibly being placed on the bench as a decoy, and considers this a valid option if he doesn’t find Nicola with his further searches today
Thanks for this update.
I find it odd him freelancing ideas outside his area of specialisation. He's been called in to help with the river search, not to speculate about other theories. He seems to be a loose cannon and I have no idea why he is even doing all this additional media instead of the proper law enforcement agency?
