I imagine she's the type that has been reading a book like 'how to represent yourself in court' or similar ( would explain her disjointed and calculated approach to answering questions under oath)
She's probably also looked into what to do if things really don't go in your favour. If she thought she had zero chance, maybe she'll want to go down the mental health route like Alit.
