Police believed she could have been with her 21-year-old uncle, Alex Whipple, but Whipple was located and detained near Hyrum Saturday afternoon with no sign of the girl, police said.

So he never said goodbye that morning? Didn't leave a note or anything:? Hmmmm...

He was found in Hyrum, about 13 mi from Logan.

Article says he’s a “suspect” but to the best of my knowledge he hasn’t been named as a POI or suspect by LE

Well it sure doesn’t sound good.
I notice the articles mentioned the family went to bed around 2, but fails to mention if he left or slept over.
I guess he might have “left” only to return or slept over.

I'm shocked at how there's still no Amber Alert. Even if they had a lead on where she is, it would certainly help for everyone in Logan to know what's happening. Majority probably have no clue, MOO

It is for sure where my mind went and tried not to go. I am hoping he is mom's brother and in no way was that his motive but we all know it is unlikely and that your scenario is more likely...

Still hoping though based on little news, no major alert, etc...
