Two jurors in the trial of a Utah doctor accused of killing his ex-wife said Friday the panel made quick work of a key question in the case: whether the woman's death was a murder at all.

Foreman Cameron Sharp said he and other jurors were swayed by the largely circumstantial case and quickly dismissed the defense theory that John Brickman Wall's ex-wife killed herself... "It was easy for me to come to the conclusion it was a homicide based on the evidence," Sharp, a 38-year-old real estate investor, told The Associated Press...

Sharp said the evidence that Wall filled a large Xanax prescription months before von Schwedler's death, had access to syringes from his office and likely knew where her spare key was hidden showed he had the means to commit the crime. "In the end, we felt like it was the right decision, but it was hard, really, for all of us," Sharp said. "It was a tough case."

Oh no! 3 month delay! That's so extreme. Uta's family deserved justice to be complete.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A doctor convicted of murder in the death of his ex-wife plans to appeal the verdict, his lawyer said Monday.
Salt Lake City pediatrician John Brickman Wall face 15 years to life in prison after he was found guilty last month in the death of 49-year-old cancer researcher Uta von Schwedler.

Late notice, but this case is the subject of "48 Hours" tonight on CBS if anyone is interested.

On Thursday, the Utah Court of Appeals sided with prosecutors, saying that despite Wall’s claims that evidence wasn’t sufficient to convict him of first-degree murder, that the court admitted DNA evidence it shouldn’t have and that his attorneys were ineffective, all the facts point to him killing Uta von Schwedler.

Wall’s attorney said Wall still contends he is innocent.
