"NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Family and friends of Anjelica Hadsell have confirmed to 10 On Your Side the missing 18-year-old was on alert and scared of a certain person before her disappearance on March 2.

Hadsell communicated that information to her cousin and best friend between Feb. 13 and the day she vanished. Text messages sent by Hadsell to friends in late February about the person said, “I should probably stop texting him back,” and “HELP.”

“This person supposedly said that he wanted to hang out, and she said she didn't think it was a good idea,” said Chelsey Zirkle, who had multiple conversations with Hadsell both by phone and in person. “She was more worried that this person would maybe do something, and this person is the person we kind of suspect did something.”

YES. And that 'separation' theory possibly explains why he was asking her about school and stuff. I was thinking to myself--why didn't he ask her last night or when she arrived back from school? Why stand in a gas station and ask how she likes school?

Because the station could have had security cams to capture the not to many words loving step dad interacting with AJ, who my guess was not alive at the time, so for cover.

With this interview, I'm convinced she never left the house alive, which would explain the freakish gas station "stare down," the red truck returning without AJ being seen, the much more, I'm extremely sorry to say. This is a not very smart very dangerous man, it seems to me.

"Norview." The jacket, he probably hid and hadn't been worn by AJ recently, that's probably why the step dad says he cut LE off and didn't want to hear what they had to say about the jacket, would be my guess.

I have to find the news cast but on one of the news cast Wh alluded/said that he knew at least one of persons of involvement which means there could be others that maybe worked together.
I'm confused on this statement : WH: Okay, without saying it out loud, but yes someone has brought themselves to the forefront. They did interview them three times. And let’s just say someone happened to see something that maybe they didn’t want them to see... maybe a friend, you know, was hanging out with someone. There was a search warrant executed on this person and their house

Thanks, I'm still catching up. It is ghoulish to even think, but I think whatever happened to AJ happened before they were at the station together and she "departed" his car. So the wheels in his head may have started turning early to give him time to think how he would play it, it seems to me. I hope I'm wrong about every word of this, because it is so unnatural to even consider.

I think something happened when he dropped off the truck.
He says MOM leaves at 7 he didn't say what time he dropped it off.
No one was home.

Lol no I would ask what he's going to do with all that money. How his day was so far. Where was he going, with who and how long. He would get typically teenaged annoyed but he would have left as fast as he could once he got what he wanted which was money. If I had not seen him in a while then I would have made more small talk to catch up.

He said in interview "Longwood softball jacket" but she is not on the Longwood softball roster so unless she helps the team (score keeper or something), she would not have a Longwood softball jacket...plus Longwood Softball has a FB page and there is NO mention of her going missing (you'd think they have the flier on there or something). So I am thinking that (in your pic) is the jacket and it is Norview. Kind of funny he got it mixed up because he knew and went into detail about her name being embroidered on there.

And the same goes for the 200 bucks. According to the interview, the boyfriend just had his birthday yesterday? Or very recently. Why the big hurry for the $? The only time I have ever met my teen at the gas station was when she was out of gas and needed to get to work. Would you leave your job to give your daughter money to buy her boyfriend a present, when she had about 10 days until his birthday?


What was the big hurry?

Doesn't work for me, at all. He doesn't seem the type to want to lavish gifts on AJ's boyfriend. Agreed.
