Not that I necessarily agree, but interesting comments IMO.

I don't agree with the overwhelming theme of the comments. Wow. Her lip does look busted to me (just no longer bloody) not to mention the store owner witnessed the whole thing. Mom is CLEARLY a victim.

I'm sure the "calm" they see is more shock than anything. She probably should not have done an interview.

I am so scared for this little girl. Getting the word out is so important.

I agree. I find her story very credible as a victim of domestic violence. Women in abusive relationships for years become "numb" to it. She can tell what he tried to do to her (attempting to stab her with a knife) "calmly" because it is nothing new for him to attack her. I noticed she only got a little watery eyes talking about her daughter-- she is showing classic signs of a abused woman who wants to protect her child over herself. JMO.

The longer this goes on without Emma being found the more I fear she is already gone. :(

She has a witness, she has security camera, and she has the police and FBI backing her story. I'll admit that originally when I told a group a friends their first thought was "If that even happened" because we have had a few false stories lately...but once confirmed, don't beat down the victim even more. People need to be more careful with their words. (Not the people here, the people in those comments)

This morning I hoped that Emma would be left, safe and sound, somewhere public.

No need to worry about DNA because police know who took Emma.

No need to worry about Emma talking about places they stayed or people he knows because she is too young to talk.

I am hoping that this once, just this once, this man thinks the way we do.

  • A gold 2007 four-door Suzuki Forenza with front-end damage to the driver's side and a spare tire on the rear passenger side
  • A burgundy Toyota Camry

  • North Carolina plate EKZ-5093
  • FAA-1873

"My worst fear is that she is just on the side of the road somewhere or left alone," Emma Kennedy's aunt Amy Metzger told WAVY-TV. "She just brightens our lives and she is adorable and happy and healthy."

Excerpt from news article (below):

“He did the same thing with me, when I was younger,” said the man’s other daughter, 16-year-old Haley Brown, of Asheboro, North Carolina.

The teenager — step-sister to Emma Grace Kennedy — said it was years ago that the father ran off with her after assaulting her mother.

This is what he does when upset, the teen said, and lately he’s been angry over losing custody of the little girl.

“He was just upset in general because [Murphy] wouldn’t come back to him,” Brown said. “She wasn’t giving him what he wanted.”

As manhunt continues, authorities say abduction suspect has lengthy criminal history
