Maybe the "translation" of the new Virginia law is that only the coroner can "officially" ID a juvenile? I don't know, but Virginia does have some weird ideas.

A guardian has to give written consent for police to release info. I live in VA. The new law went into effect in Nov. 2017.

It really doesn't. Although they don't have an ID yet, I believe it's her. Are there any other missing girls in the area?Man, this doesnt sound good. [emoji853]
I wonder if they have evidence that she left the state of Virginia? The FBI gets involved whenever missing kids cases cross state lines but I have read that they also might be involved in a missing person case right away if there is forensic technology needed that only the FBI has access to. Who knows what that could be in this case but I think they know a lot more than they are sharing with the public. JMO.
