A representative of the Shenandoah Park Service would not specify where exactly the car was found as it is part of the investigation.. She also would not answer if foul play is involved. The article above in the post above by @galillian (thanks for this thread) says her car was found wrecked. That's scary. Is she wandering around hurt? Did she get a blow to the head and is lost and in medical distress? All sorts of bad things come into my suspicious (because we see this type of thing here in WS) mind. This sounds like it could be dire. Did she have some time of emergency which caused her to lose control of the car? Did some "good" Samaritan pick her up and cause harm to her?
We'll wait and see. Hoping for good news, and following this thread

Oh wow!!!!
There is an update that the ground search has concluded and the case is in the hands of Shenandoah National Park. A friend said that she would never just vanish. By the way, Charlottesville is not a bad place to live.
New updates about missing UVA lecturer from Charlottesville
Potential for foul play and plain accident are both high. There is a lot of crime in Charlottesville, where she was last seen on the 14th. Sometimes troubled students are a danger.
Seriously? "Sometimes troubled students are a danger"?
Charlottesville doesn't have significantly more crime than the average US city of its size. It's also summer, so college proper is not in session.
Given the details on FB, the most likely scenario is an accident. There's enough bad stuff going on in the world without presupposing even more with no sources or evidence.
Sounds like both:I'm wondering if they saw "HER" or her car? Very sad situation none the less. IMO
