Also Andy Fox, now I know people don't like his style but does anybody remember the Steve Colossi case a few years ago I give Andy Fox a lot of the credit getting justice served and Steve behind bars. If Meghan's parents were to contact Andy I'm sure he would follow up on this case on thier behalf.

I dont think it is out of line at all, in fact, I would support it. However, when her researchers and producers are fact-checking, I am guessing they will not get alot of input from PPD, and definately not from NCIS, and they are gun-shy about not having enough established facts. I would say if anyone feels it is time to at least attempt to progress answers or bring the spotlight to the fact that there still aren't any, they absolutely should.
 
I'm all for contacting any press that will listen and get Meghan's case up front where it belongs. I know that Greta VanSustren covers a lot of missing and unsolved cases. I have no trust and little faith in PPD. If NCIS is involved, I'm surprised at their lack of action. I wouldn't be surprised about their silence because they are good at what they do. But I don't think they would take this long to get answers and not have a POI already in custody. PLEASE don't let Meghan's case end up like so many others in P-town. This sweet little girl deserves our concern and justice.
 
I have been a lurker here for the most part. I agree that this is ridiculous that the LE is not bringing this case out the the public.

Bigmike mentioned about bringing this case out to the public, which made me think of a case that I have been posting on and a poster emailed the journalist and got a reply back right away.

Is there a journalist that has been writing about Meghan's case from day one? If so, why not email her or him?

If Greta has done anything on Meghan's case, I would email her and ask for a follow up on the case.

Just some thoughts.

Littledeer, there has been NO continuous local media reporting on Meghans case and as far as I know NO national media has even mentioned her murder. I'm puzzled about that especially considering the rumors of how brutal her murder was. The other case I wonder about is the murder of the Navy Lt in broad day light with for no known reason in front of his family and in the middle of the road. Where is the media on both these cases?
 
I would steer away from NG..she gets her facts so confused many times. But I think that Greta and Mark Fuhrman could get the facts straight and then some.
 
Should we all contact them or should we designate one of us to do that?

I'd like to see both of those cases solved, the Lt. and Meghan's.
 
Sorry I haven't been posting much here. I've been reading along but with nothing new to report, I haven't been posting anything.

The family has moved so I don't get updates as much as I used to. However I'll be seeing some people this week that are closer to the family than I am (staying in daily contact with them), so I should get some news. If anything, hopefully the PDD was able to shed some light before they moved. They had a meeting with the lead detective(s) on the case prior to heading out of town, so I hope they at least learned something before they left the area.

I will say again that the other Lt. murder has not been linked to Meghan's murder at all. They are separate cases as far as I know. It's sad that neither have been in the news recently, but they are not connected as far as what I've heard so far.
 
Wow, was that article ever confusing. They said they have an affidavit listing murder, indecent liberties, etc. but he's not a suspect. Huh?

And wonder what it is they're hoping to find in his checking account information. Did he pay someone and they're looking for a large withdrawal?

I heard there would be information on the 11 o'clock news but I have a feeling it's what you just posted here.

What is the matter with local media? A child was brutally murdered, in broad daylight, in her own home! Parents have lived in fear for more than 2 months & area news sources have no more interest than if this man... who has other charges involving the victim... & has not been cleared in this case.... had gone out for a loaf of bread.

I suppose investigators are looking for money that was moved & used to pay a hired killer? Anybody have other ideas?
 
Honey no one knows why this case hasn't been kept in the news.
My friend ,who lives in Portsmouth, told me that the case is still talked about a lot actually. But for whatever reason, the local news stations don't mention it.

Maybe it's because forensics aren't back yet.

Thank you jeepgirl- WOW- what an article- This is the most news I have heard about the perp since day one. Everything is what we suspected in regards to him having sex with her, but from the sounds of things, there was a LOT more going on with this monster than just Mehghan's death.

Good Job Blink- This article pretty much fits your earlier post to a tee. Unfortunately, there are many more pieces to this HORRIBLE puzzle. Hope there will be an ARREST soon. They must have some type of financial back-up info to request such a detailed SW. hopefully someone is talking, or they have computer records.

It sounds like they are just throwing us a bone. Was it me or did that article kinda contridict itself?

"The affidavit says the search is in relation to three offenses: murder, indecent liberties and child *advertiser censored*."

but then it says:

"Police have said the man is not a suspect, but was someone who was interviewed and cooperated."

Okay, just my unprofessional opinion here but, if he is not a suspect, then why would they search his bank account?

Again, I think they are just throwing us a rawhide chew stick! Wish they could have come up with more than that.

There's an article in the same vein in the Virginian Pilot. BTW, on Friday I sent an email to the Pilot reporter who did the most recent article (before this one) and asked if they would do a follow up. He responded right away and said that they talk about Meghan's case every day and he would look into it. I don't know if the timing of the article had anything to do with a nudge from the "public" for information, but maybe it helps.
 
I bet your call did have something to do with them releasing this little bit of information.

elsie-eye, I hope your email did spur them to start reporting like they should have been doing all along. Them talking "about Meghan's case every day" is not alerting the public to be on guard and not putting a flame under LE butt. If the lab reports are not back by now the media should be all over their tails. Every single day Meghans case should be on the front page to put as much pressure on LE on the lab and anyone else that is standing in the way of finding out who did this and getting justice for Meghan and her family. You can't help but wonder if the media is intimidated by LE into not reporting on Meghans case. How could anyone not want to keep this case on the front page until it is solved. This little kid seems to have been full of life and wanting to be a part of life and had a love of her family and friends. I could be wrong, I didn't know her, but it certainly seems like she was the kind person almost everyone would want as a friend and every parent would be proud of.
 
My mom said tonight that she heard that the Navy had dropped all charges against Lt. Hicke. I've looked on the internet and can't find anything stating that. Has anyone else heard that he's been cleared by the military?

I'm hoping that she just got confused about the story that they were looking into his checking account.
 
I haven't heard that Lizzybeth. I'll see what I can find out.
