I don't understand why they don't let people back in if they have to go outside!! That's ridiculous... I hope that policy is changed. It would have saved Morgan's life wonder if that's justification enough to change a policy.

I'm sorry but trying to prevent a few people from seeing a shoe free is not
worth a person's life.... This is my opinion but I bet many will agree. Is the arena changing it's policy after this...

that's the policy at shows here too (in Canada) and I doubt the policy will change but they should probably look into having 'emergency' services available for people who are 'locked out'

here they have one exit manned by security for smokers and the security spills out onto the smoking area to make sure people don't wander outside the designated area (unless they're leaving) but those sceurity people surely would be willing & able to help someone in distress to make a phonecall at the very least

Doesn't it seem like she had a blind date with some guy?

A guy that worked at the farm......

I can understand how ticket stubs could be passed to people outside who hadn't paid, but why don't places use a hand stamp or something that isn't transferrable, but proves the person should be allowed back inside? MOO

exactly, we have those hand stamps here

A friend of the friends has stated several times on the findmorgan forum that LE did at some point ask the friends to turn over any and all cameras/phones and as far as I know, they are still in LE's posession. This was posted quite a while ago so I do not have a link to post.

I agree with you about the pictures. It would be very odd if there weren't any. However I don't think LE would release them. They have been very tight-lipped about this investigation. Only slowly (almost methodically) did they release little details here and there. IMO there is NO WAY that LE did not confiscate the groups cameras at the very beginning.

I agree with you that this crime doesn't seem to have been random.
The drugs part seems irrelevant. Even if she asked some guy for weed or something, what would give him the motive for murder?

I am not saying murder, but possibly a drug experience gone wrong.Perhaps she was somewhere close partying the evening before the concert and something happened and panic took over.
Friends still plan to hook up with her at the concert, she never showed and they didn't know what happened , drove back to Harrisonburg hoping things would work out but they didn't.
I could jump in my car now and be in Charlottesville in 45 minutes. That's why I think something happened before the concert.
I don't think she ever made it to see any of it. Just mulling it around.
I hate the thoughts of not knowing what happened for her parents.

Possible ways she ended up there and no one told LE:

1) She met up with some one when first arriving in Charlottesville, and went to a party in that area she was found prior to the concert, and stayed there, or went to a party after being stuck outside JPJ. They partied and she, in an under the influence state wandered off. At a big party who would notice one girl had left? Person that took her there is either a bg and doesn’t want to say anything or is too under the influence to realize Morgan is the girl he brought/or thinks the girl he brought left with some one else.

2) She met up with some one when first arriving in Charlottesville, and went to a party in that area she was found prior to the concert, and stayed there or went to a party after being stuck outside JPJ. She partied there until some one at the party tried to take advantage of her (whether she was or was not under the influence is immaterial here, she is a victim either way) she flees the party and get’s lost. Person that brought her there is definately a bg and doesn’t want to be known.

In either of these cases, the way she was dressed, and the weather that night, it would not take long of hypothermia to set in.

3) She met up with some one when first arriving in Charlottesville, and went to a party in that area she was found prior to the concert, and stayed there or went to a party after being stuck outside JPJ. She partied there and went for a walk with fellow partiers who were so under the influence they didn’t realize she was no longer walking with them. Person that took her there doesn’t realize she is gone.

4) She met up with some one when first arriving in Charlottesville, and was on her way to to a party in that area she was found prior to the concert, and stayed there or went to a party after being stuck outside JPJ. While on the way to the party, some one with her noticed cows in a pasture, and decided, in an under the influence state, to pull over, climb a fence and go cow tipping. Once across the fence she wandered off, and they looked for her but coulnt find her, and went on to their party. Again, people she was with are partying, don’t realize a girl they just met isn’t there anymore. By the time they realize it was Morgan, they are afraid to come forward.

I'm sorry I havn't read this whole thread so i don't know if anything like this has been mentioned yet but there was a caller that called in on HLN and his comment was that there is a small 2 bedroom cottage on the other side of that farmland and that this place was used to party. He went to school there and he said he is very familiar with that farmland because he used to party there and so did many others.

An early morning fire destroyed an Albemarle County home on Sutherland Road just before 2 a.m. Tuesday.
Crews from the North Garden, Crozet and Charlottesville fire departments battled the blaze for several hours. Four college students were in the home when the fire started but all were able to get out safely.
Right now, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
"It's a total loss," said Assistant Fire Chief Chuck Pugh. "Approximately one third is still standing. The outer walls and the remainder are still standing, but the interior is completely gutted."
The students living in the home were renting the property and they planned on moving out next week.

Sadly, due to her body being out in the elements for 101 days I highly doubt the ME will be able to determine how she died. Unless she was shot, bludgeoned or stabbed. If she was strangled they may find her hyoid bone fractured but if not I do not think after this long they will be able to determined how she died.

I don't think the ME is going to rule her death accidental though.

imo

I was thinking it would be curious to see if she has a broken leg/ankle ... this would help with speculation that she was running from the perp(s) and fell, unable to get up.

It is unlawful to:
Hunt wild birds and wild animals with firearms or other weapons on Sunday, except on licensed shooting preserves. Raccoon hunters may hunt until 2:00 a.m. Sunday mornings.

Why?!?! To not interrupt church services? To be sure everyone GOES to church?! Wow, that's an odd law. :waitasec:

I'm confused as to what many of you think the connection to the burnt house is. AFAIK, the house burned down the night before Morgan was found, right? I can see there being some kind of a connection if it burned the night AFTER she was found, but not under these circumstances. Unless Morgan's remains were being hidden inside the house and were moved to the field that night, and the house was burned right after she was moved but before she was found in order to destroy evidence (which I don't think is plausible AT ALL), I'm just curious what some of the theories are of posters who think there is/may be a connection. After all, how would anyone know the farmer was going to find Morgan's remains that day?

Hahaha, you would be surprised of the "Old Laws" that are still on record, even though not "enforced". It is kind of funny, and kind of sad. (Think about the area though.)

But see none of this fits the known eyewitness evidence. She was seen at the concert. She was seen trying to get back in. She was seen meandering around the parking lot dropping her purse repeatedly She was seen in the bathroom at the concert, bleeding and not making much sense. Her scent is lost on the bridge. Now we know she ended up in a field. So we know, she made it to the concert, we know she got locked out and couldn't get back in. Her friends dropped the ball and for whatever reason didn't assist her. We know she was drinking and probably heavily intoxicated. As I see it, this leaves one of 3 scenarios. She gets a ride with a bad guy and he kills her and dumps her on the farm location. OR, she gets a ride with a bad guy and somehow gets away from him and she wanders and gets lost in that location and succumbs to the elements. OR, she gets a ride from a good person, gets dropped off at a park and ride nearby the location she is found, and due to her inebriated and disoriented state is confused about that location and thinks it is possibly her home (there is evidence the farm and the roads look similar to her home) and she wanders to the location and falls or hits her head or whatever.

There may not be a connection at all. However, it should be investigated. I really have no theory….I have one thought…justice for Morgan (just like you).

The students were moving out next week.. maybe a body had been kept there…maybe a body needed to be disposed…maybe they had to get rid of evidence….?

Well the autopsy and the crime scene analysis will definitely be able to tell us how long her body had been there. This is so hard waiting for the facts to come out. All this speculation!
