Off topic here, but why must we call Black People or African americans Blacks. I have always just hated that. I never hear white people whites. It just seems wrong to me I wont go any further as this isnt what this is about.
I also find it weird to compare this with the OJ case??

I do not like the fact Enrique is lumping ALL Black as a whole. The gangbanger gangsta wannabees that support the scum Vick are a minority within the minority. They don't count, they are just as bad as he is, and that's who the media is showing on tv. I personally don't care what's been said about him being targeted. He was ratted out by one of his own! So much for loyalty.

I don't know what OJ has to do with this case either! As I recall, only 3 jurors were Black on his case.

You got part of it right...the media is showing who's on which side of the street. Hey his arraignment was in the afternoon...so don't those people have JOBS they're supposed to be at. The general public is NOT on the jury. The general public knows OJ was guilty, but it didn't render a guilty verdict,so what we think or know doesn't matter if we are not on the jury. Jury verdicts are not arrived at based on OPINIONS, but FACTS presented in court. Believe all the media spin you want about it being black/white thing. I don't know any Blacks who don't think he needs to put throught the ringer on this. Oh,and they're everyday working people, NOT gangbangers cheering Vick on. So don't lump all blacks in the category of saying they want him found not guilty, which is what you're doing.

No I don't live under a rock...yeah it will be interesting to see. Wonder how many jurors will be rolling up to the courthouse in Escalades on 24's, sittin' in the jury box with their bling and grills. And any potential juror that already has an opinion should NOT be on any jury. Remember...the part about our judicial system and an impartial jury? Please don't try and tell me that isn't true and don't even try and say "only the gangsta blacks were in favor of OJ being found not guilty". There was a huge racial divide during the entire OJ saga.

Mike Vick situation also involves one of the biggest star athletes and it's turning into a black vs white thing. That's why bringing up OJ is relevant. It has the potential to go down the same path.

I didn't say there were ONLY blacks on Vick's side of the street and ONLY whites on the other side! For what it's worth, they reported it was 90% white one one side and 95% black on the other. I'm sure it was just media bias though *eyes rolling*

What I said was they wanted him to be found not guilty. HUGE DIFFERENCE. Go learn the difference between "hoping he's found not guilty" and "innocent" then come back and talk with the grown ups.

And if you don't believe that the overwhelming majority of the black population in America wanted to see OJ Simpson found not guilty, then you are either in denial or you weren't living here. All around the country, people gathered around television sets...in offices, airports, outside, houses, restaurants, you name it......I, myself, was in an airport. After the not guilty verdict was read, a large group of black people erupted in cheers....and I don't recall any being dressed in "gangsta" attire. Many were in suits and ties, others casually dressed. This is not the only place this occurred. lol if you truly believe there wasn't a MAJOR racial divide in this country during the OJ saga.

Well, we are not talking about a famous white hick athlete on trial in rural Mississippi for dog fighting.
If we were, I'd say the same thing. It would be almost impossible to get a conviction.

Sadly it's already become a black vs white thing. That's why you had white on one side and blacks on the other outside the courthouse. He has plopped himself in the crosshairs of one of the largest, most heterogenous groups in the US: dog lovers. Black, white, yellow, red, brown, green: Everybody's pissed and no one cares what color Vick is, except the usual race-baiters. He's far beyond toast; he's become toxic waste.

For once and for all, so we can get back on topic. IMHO this has nothing to do with race, this has to do with the fact Pri#k is a FAMOUS football player. That right there will get him off, not because of what race he is. IMHO there is always going to be that one person on the jury white or black, who is a football fan.
