$5,000 reward would look great to someone on drugs needing money also...............people on drugs here will rob a sore for $50 just for their drug habit............never know

Wow.

WSLS 10 asked if there was any evidence to confirm if the family was in fact home with Noah Sunday morning, March 22.

Sheriff Davis said they were going by family statements and that he had spent many hours with Noah's parents and asked the public to not judge them, stating, "They're living in a nightmare," and "their grief is obvious."

I think most of us would be hard pressed if we had to find evidence that we were home with our kids at any given time. What evidence would support that I'm home with my kids now?

While LE will sometimes follow a lead by a psychic I don't think they would ever publicly classify a lead by one as credible. JMO, of course.

I hope the newer septic tanks are child proof, even adult proof! Septic tanks are supposed to be pumped out every 5 years, if they are not up to code at that time, it should be mandated that they are repaired. No child should ever be able to fall in a septic system.

I think, since a tip was called in, that eliminates the possibility of an accident. Someone knew the child was in the septic tank.

Not necessarily. Could have just been a person telling them about the septic tank and asked if they had checked.it.

I was only trying to give info about the types of risers and lids in my last post. There have been so many questions about these septic tank lids and risers. The post I quoted of mine was made this morning at 6am. I had no idea about these things till I had to get one. That link really helped me understand.

If a child is involved, parent may have just realized this and/or just decided to come forward. Maybe the parents being vilified helped them decide. Reward may be unrelated.

A thorough compelling report.

Body of missing Virginia boy found in septic tank

Imho, anyone in the area, including the landlord himself, next door neighbours, anyone who knew all of these homes have septic tanks, and who have the intelligence to know that children have been known to fall into them on occasion, could easily have called in that tip.. not as having knowledge of anything in particular, other than knowing that's the first place that should have been checked.

or maybe a neighbor or someone called in that heard, knew or saw something.

or a well...a friend of mine nearly fell in an old well on her property she knew nothing about. One day, she's walking in her back yard and the ground caved in underneath her...she caught herself in time, but it could've been disastrous. It cost her thousands to have it properly sealed & filled in.

Maybe someone saw him in the yard that day. The original reports that he was outside with another child had to have come from somewhere. Was he often outside unsupervised? If yes, then neighbors might have noticed but were not shocked on Sunday.

Great article...Thank you

What worries me about this article is that if no one was around when the little girl fell in, would anyone ever believe she ended up there by accident? Probably not. Crazy things happen so I wouldn't want to say unequivocally that Noah was put into the septic tank.

I think depending on the circumstances, it could be thought of as an accident. The circumstances the mother lined out with Noah, gives people pause.

I don't think someone calling the tip line and suggesting they look in the septic tank would be considered "a credible tip". To me a credible tip includes information that specifies why LE should look somewhere. I'm assuming someone saw something that they didn't realize they saw until some time had passed, or perhaps someone said something to someone that suddenly clicked.

I don't think he ended up in there by accident.

I think the sheriff knows that, and is acting fiercely protective of the family to make them feel safe with him. Catching more flies with honey than vinegar, so to speak.

I also think he's feeling defensive that Noah wasn't found sooner. This leads me to believe the septic tank opening was intact, so they had no reason to think he had gotten in there.

*If* this was an accident, is it possible he died from suffocation related to toxic sewage gases rather than drowning? I assume that is part of the toxicology and laboratory reports they're waiting for.
