Rebecca Dowski, from Poughkeepsie NY, was a senior at the College of William and Mary, majoring in business management. She was the daughter of Julian J. Dowski and Jacquelin Antelak.

--------------------------------------------------------------
On 10 October 1986 Rebecca Ann Dowski was murdered, along with Cathleen Thomas, in what was believed to be the first of a series of double murders dubbed "The Colonial Parkway Murders".

The bodies of Rebecca Ann "Becky" Dowski, 21, and Cathleen Marian "Cathy" Thomas were discovered on October 12, 1986, inside Cathy's car. The car had been pushed off an embankment of the Colonial Parkway seven miles east of Williamsburg VA and a mile from the Cheatham Annex Naval Base.

Investigators' initial thoughts of a wreck were quickly thrown out when investigators noticed the women’s bodies suffered rope burns and had their throats slashed. The interior of the car was also doused in diesel fuel in a failed attempt at setting the vehicle on fire.

1980 Honda Civic similar to Cathleen's.

If you have any information on the murders of Cathleen Thomas, Rebecca Dowski or any other Colonial Parkway victims, please call the Norfolk, VA FBI Field Office at (757) 455-0100.
