*Update added photos The Virginia State Police and the Virginia Missing Children Clearinghouse have issued an AMBER Alert on behalf of the Virginia Beach City Police Department, for multiple child abductions that occurred on August 14th, 2024 at 2048 hours. The children are believed to be in extreme danger and was last seen at Jay Are Court in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Abducted are: (1) Zayir Plummer, age 5, black male, black hair, brown eyes, height 4' 0", 100 pounds. He was last seen wearing grey pants and a black jacket; (2) Zayin Plummer, age 7, black male, black hair, brown eyes, height 4' 0", 100 pounds. He was last seen wearing rust-colored pants and a light blue shirt; and (3) Zariyah Plummer, age 16 months, black female, black hair, brown eyes, height 24 inches, 40 pounds. She was last seen wearing pink tights and a Trolls dress. The children are believed to have been abducted by Dana Demetrius Plummer, age 36, black male, brown hair, brown eyes, 5' 9" height, 170 pounds.

A police chase that started in Fairfax County, Virginia, and ended with a crash across the Maryland state line involves an SUV connected to an Amber Alert for three young children who were reportedly abducted, authorities say.

A police chase that started in Fairfax County, Virginia, and ended with a crash across the Maryland state line involves an SUV connected to an Amber Alert for three young children who were reportedly abducted, authorities say.

At around 8:45 a.m. Thursday morning, Virginia state troopers spotted the SUV and attempted to pull it over on Interstate 95 in Fairfax County, but the driver refused to stop, a state police spokeswoman said in an email.

The driver of the SUV continued north on the Capital Beltway into Prince George’s County before crashing near Branch Avenue.

Both Maryland and Virginia State police are on the scene.

At least four people were taken to the hospital. No word yet on the extent of their injuries.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Beach Police said one of the children abducted out of Virginia Beach Wednesday evening, which prompted an Amber Alert, has died after a pursuit ended in a vehicle crash in Maryland.
FOX Baltimore confirmed on X the Amber Alert ended in a vehicle crash on I-495 in Prince George’s County, Maryland, according to a Maryland State Police spokesperson.
According to the Virginia Beach Police Department, the suspect, Dana Plummer, was apprehended at the scene and the three children were located. The 16-month-old, Zariyah, was then transported to a hospital by a helicopter, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The two other children are said to be in a serious, but non life-threatening condition, according

Police say prior to the abduction, Plummer stabbed the mother of the children and another young girl. He then took the children and fled in a black 2024 Honda Passport SUV with temporary plates 37550R.

Plummer was charged with two counts of aggravated malicious wounding, three counts of parental abduction, four counts of contributing to delinquency of a minor, and domestic assault.
