Can you share a link to the picture you saw.. TIA

OT but I noticed your post and noticed that beautiful little girl in your signature and clicked..I read Emma's story and am just overcome with emotion. What an amazing, precious little girl! She had all the odds against her from the start yet still blessed you with years of precious life. I wish so badly a miracle could have happened and she was still here. My heart breaks for you. As a mom to 3 under 5, I cannot imagine what you have been through..and then when I realized you yourself were a brain cancer survivor..I am at a loss for words to express how much I admire your strength and courage and how much my heart goes out to you. Reading your story makes me realize how I am grateful for what I have. There are days (like today) where I just get overwhelmed with three small kids but reading your blog, I am more grateful then ever right now as they are arguing and well, driving me crazy lol. I hope God blesses you with a future of happiness and health and success for you and your family. Sorry, I had to comment after reading Emma's story. Its amazing story of love, courage, hope, inspiration and a little girl who was truly a light in this world. God bless you!

JA is not white and they did both kill white males, perhaps they might bond.

Well, she is mixed. She defined herself as half Mexican although her father is Columbian mestizo.

Her family is also composed of Germans and English. She was ashamed of the way she looked so she died her hair blonde to make herself less "ethnic" looking.

She is one of those people we referred to as "passing."

She's white enough and she's Latina enough. I'm betting she plays up the Latina part of her culture when she finally gets released into GP at Perryville (barring the DP, of course.)

Some still believe that old One Drop rule, that even if you had a black relative five generations back, you're black. Some believe the same with anything other than the "purity" of being white.

There's a great website that explores this perception of what "black" is 1neDrop and many of the people who are black you'd never ever guess by looking at them. I'm sure the journals of these people could easily translate to anyone who doesn't appear to be what they are.

CMJA is a chameleon and she will tailor who she is and what she looks like to whatever environment there that will ensure her safety and well-being. If that means bleaching her skin, I'm sure she'd do it in a heartbeat.

Beth was saying on HLN that she spoke with a friend of hers from LA who was in the DA's office and on the committee that decides death penalty cases. He told her they seek the DP in about 12% of eligible cases and the Arias case would not have been a capital case in Los Angeles.

Remember at the very beginning of the trial when the juror's first asked about TA's room-mates and where they were? And we were floored because it didn't sound like they understood that she was pleading guilty?

ehem.

Yes...and the other one asking if it was possible that Jodi "snapped"? She didn't take 3 gas cans and turn off her phone to go to Travis' to "snap." Fortunately, the elements of premeditation were proven.

Another clip I hadn't seen. So is he saying they all expressed their individual opinions but did not try to influence one another? Isn't that the point of deliberations? Isn't there a difference between influence and coerce? What's the point of a foreman if they just express their feelings and sign the verdict form?

i don't really like hearing him comparing the anguish of the 2 families.

Going through yesterday was like a freaking grieving process. I am still disappointed but I have accepted it and I applaud those 8 jurors that held out for the DP. I would still love to hear from each of the other 4.

My thoughts our with the Alexanders and them ONLY.

Have fun being locked up 23 hrs. a day with only your crazy *advertiser censored* self to talk to, Ms. CMJA.

O/T-
I appreciate your entire post, but I wanted to ask about what I bolded.
My son has a brand new treadmill waiting to be set up and that sentence scared the carp out of me. It is the mom in me speaking, but is there anything you can tell me to help him avoid something like this?

If you do not wish to post about it that is OK, I would understand. TIA

PS- Mods if this is not OK, feel free to delete, TY.

My 15 year old son watched most of the trial ....I'm pretty darn positive he won't fall prey to a woman like Jodi. ....not even a stalker. And if he finds himself in that situation ...he now knows what to do

Many of us here had trouble leaving our computers that day...And the family went sightseeing? Over an hour away? "Just" a question?

Sorry, but I don't buy it.

I also think that was the main reason that JA was crying; because they weren't there.

moo

Doubt that is why she cried. She rarely bothered to make eye contact with them for 4 months, why care now? If her tears- about which I could care less- were about her family at all, they were great big tears for her victimhood. Jodi only cries for Jodi.

wow. he almost quoted jennifer's opening statement: 'the question is, what would FORCE her to do it?'

how about she's a psychopathic, manipulative, lying little beeyotch? did y'all miss that part?

So let this be a lesson for any man.....call a women a shank or three hole wonder and watch out!!!!!:scared::scared::scared:

Everyone, get down on your knees and thank God (or the earth, sun, universe, whatever) that this jury came back with a premeditated murder conviction. With the kind of foreman they had I'm shocked we got the right verdict! I have nothing bad to say about juror #5, 8 and 17.

BBM

How do we know that? LWOP in Arizona, according to the TH's (ok ok :floorlaugh:) is 3 years in protective custody, then into genpop for good behavior.

JA needs to be in a cage for the rest of her life, no interaction with anyone, ever. Let her stew and go mad, she'll wish she got the DP.

The reason I "know" this is because of what my son told me about the culture of prison life--how a person gains power, how they get their own cell, the place of gangs in prison life, etc.

I believe she will be kept in protective custody just like a sex offender is--and for the same reason. She has a power position now which she thinks will carry over and protect her in prison. She doesn't understand the difference between prison and jail. Because she is highly adaptive and manipulative, she has fashioned a niche for herself as the victim rather than the perpetrator and you see she believes her present aggression is justified "if she is abused." Her status as folk hero of the jail population who are fawning over her WILL NOT MEAN SQUAT IN PRISON.

Especially in an Arizona maximum prison. It's not that the system will punish her extraordinarily, it's just that even if she gets released into general pop after three years, the women in prison will not respond the same to her persona of "Hi, I'm Jodi. I am famous, better than you, and I can help you better yourself."

More likely she will get nine shallow stabs in the back to remind her of her place at the bottom of the pecking order.

Or you could be right and she goes into general pop and wins a singing contest, teaches classes on how to crush cans when you have a broken finger, teaches the Spanish inmates how to speak English and elevates and edifies those with "lower thoughts" by teaching them to read books that she suggests. She gets to sell and wear her Survivor T-shirt under her prison stripes and SHeriff Arpaio says "Hey, it's her first amendment right of free expression" and the other perpetrators of hideous crimes are perfectly fine with her branding of herself as a victim while they are treated as the perpetrators they are.

Sorry, I think it's more likely she will end up with a perp tattoo on her forehead than this last scenario. But that's just MOO

:rocker: I totally agree with both of you about the foreman ...

He did come off "smug" and so sure of himself ...

I can't wait to read a statement analysis of this know-it-all's remarks ...

:moo:

I've been reading thru the thread esp about the Foreman & how he presented himself during interview.. So.. yesterday when everyone was saying 1 woman on jury mouthed words "I'm sorry so sorry" to the family & the other female crying.. We keep thinking THEY THE WOMEN were probably hold outs for Life but now I'm wondering if it wasn't the Foreman along with maybe 3 other males??

Maybe older males trying to be 'white knights/women need protecting" and maybe a younger male who felt Borderline she was mentally ill he couldn't in good conscience sentence death.

WE WOMEN on threads for most part have seen CMCHJA for what she is.. Skye Hughes saw her for what she is so why would we not believe the female jurors didn't see her for what she is?? I mean we've all crossed paths in some way with someone like her and I'm sure if you're like me.. Most of us had a negative interaction crossing paths with that person they either got us wrote up at work, stole our boyfriends, used us as friends to get to someone or something they wanted..

Maybe the female jurors being emotional & saying sorry was because THEY couldn't sway Mr Foreman into seeing the facts for what they were? Maybe they were upset/stoic/frustrated on breaks because THEY knew what was coming and how unfair to the family... IDK just a thought. JMO

:seeya: Yes I do ...

I did not trust this jury until I saw that 1st Degree Pre-Meditated Verdict and that was :great: ... and they then came back with Extreme Cruelty and that was :great: ...

It gave me confidence that there were going to go for it ...

But no ... I tell ya, something happened ...

I want the jurors to talk talk talk ... the more they talk the more we learn :waitasec: ... maybe ...

MOO !

Why did she do it? I dunno, maybe because she has a character defect, among other things, and can never be cured or treated? She is a monster who will kill again, if allowed, at the very least will manipulate and emotionally torture her victims till the end of her days? OMG give me patience...

The foreman seems to give some weight to TA's actions motivating JA to kill him. The other 3 "lifers" may not agree with that, but feel her BP+ disorders are partly to blame. The foreman can only speak for himself imo despite all his "we"ing.

But at the same time, they knew a verdict could be handed down at any given moment. They also knew they would be given 1 hours notice. So where's the logic in visiting a place that I've heard is 4 hours away?

More importantly, how could they enjoy themselves knowing their daughter/sister/niece may be given a death penalty at any time!!!!! It blows my mine. I would not be able to eat let alone go on a sightseeing tour. moo

OMG ... "She's a human" ...

No, dude, you got it wrong again ... she's a convicted murderer !

:seeya: And THANKS Rose for posting this -- I had not seen it !

What got me was when he said "we" don't know what was going on. Did it go over his head that there were cameras in the courtroom? Buddy, we know a lot more than you do! We heard everything you heard, and more. Since he can go on national TV and criticize the public, I think I have every right to criticize him here.

So let this be a lesson for any man.....call a women a shank or three hole wonder and watch out!!!!!:scared::scared::scared:

Right. And dontcha know that saying NO to a woman is abuse?
Wanting sex and nothing more is also abuse? The woman can use sex to seduce, control and murder the male victim but the man better not want just sex. He better surrender his body, mind AND soul if he wants to escape being called an abuser.

:scared::scared:

Just listened to Mr. Foreman. He didn't expect it be a mistrial if the jury couldn't agree on a penalty? What the heck did he think was going to happen?

Gotta give her credit for being honest, but WOW. Just wow.

IMO her brain works exactly like Jodi's ....IMO

Probably her environment she gained respect for her behaviors...where as Jodi didn't and learned to lie

More importantly, how could they enjoy themselves knowing their daughter/sister/niece may be given a death penalty at any time!!!!! It blows my mine. I would not be able to eat let alone go on a sightseeing tour. moo

Haven't heard you heard of the CM version of the book "1000 places to visit before your relative gets the DP"
