The jury I was on decided to deliberate during lunch, just to keep going.

Did you use that time to keep discussing the case at all? Or just dined together taking a mental break, not deliberating?

I'm really surprised to hear that the jury was allowed to leave the courthouse during deliberations :waitasec: Maybe this is a sign that they have concluded deliberations and just want to relax for an hour before submitting their verdict to the Judge. Fingers crossed.

If you check the first video for Trial Day 22 at around 1:26 you can see her do the same gesture. She has done this gesture at least 3 times, but I can't find the other example, which was prior to Day 22.

I think she is either communicating with someone, or she is attempting to get sympathy, as in, "Feel sorry for me because I'm done for." I find it highly unlikely that motion would be accidental or unintentional. It feels very unnatural if you do it to yourself and make contact with your skin, mainly due to a feeling of vulnerability around one's neck, sadly enough.

It looks like she is wiping away a stray hair from her neck...

Ill be happy to swap with you any day ! Texas has 110 degrees 80 % humidity absolutely miserable and no mountains or ocean or beautiful pine trees ( except for a small swatch in East Texas called lost Pine)

LOl so any day im ready

Well, I live on the Gulf of Mexico shores in TX. It's is quite lovely. The weather is about the only thting that totally sucks. We have lovely tropical flowers and tropical birds. Cost of living is great and we have lots of guns!

I'm pondering.....

How could she have dropped the camera? She obviously had it strapped around her neck to have snapped those inadvertant pictures!

Somebody please clarify this. Did they break for lunch, or are they working through lunch? Did they order in, and are still working? I need to understand what's happening. If they are staying in....regardless of whether they are eating or not...it's huge in my opinion.

Some jurors left to go get food and brought it back to the jury room. I am not sure if they are all just eating in there or if they are working through lunch.

That was good seeing Judge Perry speak out .. especially the story about Casey flipping her lid in the holding cell. He knows she's guilty, but he seems to have accepted it, I'm glad he said the state had better lawyers, I still blame the jury .. if that upsets anyone I'm sorry, even the judge thinks the state proved their case, that only leaves one variable.

Now this is good...I think this means they want to get it over with! If they planned on being at this for a while they would take all the time away they could get.

:seeya:

seems like they would be restricted from dining anywhere or going physically to get food rather than have it sent to them?
where is a ? mark smilie???

Yeah it would make me think one of the jurors may have fallen for the defense team/Jodi's lies and wasn't certain. Regardless of the outcome, juries should be required to pass a basic test of critical thinking and logic. Too much at risk to let below-average-intelligence people making these kind of decisions.

BBM.
I agree. Otherwise you get a Pinellas 12 type jury.

Just saw on Twitter that they are coming back to the deliberation room with their food. Yay Jury!!!

I don't do Twitter. Could you find out if the jury was escorted to a fast food place or is there a cafeteria in the courthouse?

When I found out they had to buy their own lunch I had visions of the 12 of them leaving the courthouse and scattering to different restaurants and fast food joints. In this vision there were 12 guys in 3 piece suits (in 100 degree Arizona) and sunglasses and talking into their wristwatch reporting, "Oh-Oh, I lost #7 in Wendy's. He snuck out the side door, but I've got eyes on #3. He's eating ice cream on a bench by the courthouse.":floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:

(It's how I entertain myself during THE BIG WAIT.):seeya:

I have my TV on HLN but on mute while I do some reading. I just glanced up and saw the most pathetic "breaking news" headline in the history of headlines: "Breaking News: Jury on Lunch Break."
LOL.

LOL....i just noticed that...

They probably are taking a break from the actual deliberatins, but just kind of hanging out and talking to each other...after all they did eat lunch every day together for months. That would be my guess.

Not sure about that. hWild has seen some of the jury eating in the court cafeteria.
