I have posted a bunch of different articles about Beau, as each one of them gives you a small insight into what kind of man Beau was. I can't tell you how much he cared about people. So many journalists likened Beau to his father, and I never really saw that like they did. Beau was his own man and what the press fails to ever point out, is how much Jill, his mom, influenced him. I have always said she had her finger on the pulse of the people of the United States. Knowing the Biden clan as I have, and the fierce protective love they have for each other, this is devastating.

I have not associated Beau with politics, but as a loving and loved young man. Please accept my heartfelt condolences to all who knew or cared about him. May your memories grow stronger and happier as you process your loss.

Thank you, Zuri, for taking the trouble to post the articles. I'm sorry for his loss and that it hurts you. What a painful loss, such a young beautiful promising person. Really stands out as accomplished, above the political fray and true blue, and a loss to the nation, I imagine. You're kind to share these heartfelt words Zuri, in well remembering Beau. May he rest in peace and his family, friends, community, all those touched by him persevere and live to honor him, as it meant so much to him to honor them.

Zuri,
I replied to your post in sidebar before I knew there was a thread for Beau Biden.

I was reading the Syracuse article you posted and found this picture of Biden and his first wife Neilla with young their young son, in the comment section. It has a touching story about Joe and his wife after they were first married from people who knew them. :heartbeat:

The funeral arrangements have been announced for Beau and a charitable foundation has been set up in Beau's memory, so in lieu of flowers, I was able to donate to the program. President Obama will be delivering the eulogy, which I think is a wonderful compliment to Beau, whatever the politics.

I have transcribed the condolences from this thread and I will give them to VP Biden's staff, so that he may read them in private and share them with his family. He will be so touched to know that people he has never met, from whatever demographic or political affiliation, share in his grief.

Thank you all for your kindnesses. It has meant a lot to me personally, that you all took the time to post. God Bless. Xo

Zuri,

I am just now reading this thread. Bless you for doing this. I'm sure it will provide a small bit of solace for the family. He sounds like an amazing person. So young. Very sad. Please pass my condolences on to the family.

Will do Shelby. I was struck by the "Cancer Sucks" in your avatar and I agree wholeheartedly. Hope you are well. Xo

These are pics from today in Dover, Delaware where Beau was laying in honor. From the pics, I can see Jill and Joe, along with Hallie, Natalie and Hunter are in the forefront of most. Hunter and Kathleen, with 2 of their 3 daughters, Ashley, Beau's sister and her husband Howard. Valerie (Joe's sister) and Jack Owens with Missy and Cuff and Jill's sister Bonnie are there as well as Hallie's parents, the Oliveres.

I am looking at my beautiful friend Jill's face and I am heartbroken all over again. Yesterday was her birthday and I doubt there was any celebration. The pain and grief on her face... I want to take it all away.

Hunter is pictured with his arms crossed and is so grief stricken. This is a man who is always smiling and it just breaks my heart to see how much pain he is in. Joe has his brave face on in most of the pics, but as you can tell, there are moments...
