We don't really have many places like that in England. The picture and your descriptions have really helped. Your POI is very interesting to me as well. If memory serves me, Amber's roommate (Dave?) said Amber was wearing jeans, sneakers, and a hoodie when he last saw her walking down the street that fateful night. This always bothered me. I may be wrong and totally off base but the impression I got was that the killer told her to dress comfortably and I wondered why. I find it interesting that surfcaster has 'stressors' at/around the times that both Megan and Amber were last seen. Notorious, you said your POI may be responsible for the GB4. Possibly Jessica Taylor. JT was killed in 2003. Whoever killed her probably killed JD #6 in 2000. She was dismembered like JT. Body parts left in Manorville and Ocean Pkwy like JT. How old was your POI in the year 2000. Was he old enough to start killing. Some killers start in their late teens.

The person was probably in their early to mid 20's in 2000. You are right about some killers starting off as teens. I believe either Bundy or Dahmer had their first kill in their teens so early 20's would make sense.

To those who suggested contacting FBI, I agree that's probably the best route to go. I'm embarrassed for the Suffolk county police. They completely blew it on this one. It's sickening too because they are one of the highest paid police forces in the entire country. Some of these guys were pulling in way over 6 figures with overtime, years ago. There's also so much corruption. Been like that for years. Don't know if any of you have heard of Marty Tankleff. I'm sure most from the area have but those who are out of state/out of the country, should definitely read up on his case. It's fascinating. Especially his book. He was wrongly accused of killing his parents and spent the better half of his life in prison and was recently exhonorated. His books speaks a lot about the corruption in the police and judicial system here in Suffolk county.

Wow this is a great point! Gave me chills. You are so right. I remember reading that she left in hoodie and sweats but never made that connection. That makes such perfect sense and makes be surf caster theory seem a lot more plausible.

Let me answer your questions:

1) the girl's parents were pressing charges The state dropped the charges based on the fact that the parents did not want to put their daughter through a trial because she'd have to relive the whole trauma. She was only 15 at the time. I believe they accepted a plea bargain of some sort. I know he did a year or so of probation and some community service. His parents did put up the money to hire him a defense attorney and when all was said and done they spent somewhere in the $20-30k range, and if you ask me, that was cheap! Imagine the price he would've paid being a registered sex offender for life?

2) no he was arrested one time as a younger man but was never convicted of the crime. I believe it was a vandalizing crime of sorts. That's another thing that makes me believe he could possibly be LISK. He loves destructions. The vandalizing charge wasn't arson related but he loves fire. I would even go so far as calling him a pyromaniac. I've read that many serial killers also have a fascination with fire. Anyway I know he's committed several more criminal acts but he was never caught. Theft being the biggest one. He stole thousands of dollars in security equipment from a job years ago and another guy was blamed for it and fired. He stole small cameras and planned to plant them in his room and tape unsuspecting women.

3) he is the older one and I believe they're 6 years apart. His sister has achieved way more in life than him however.

4) he's either 39 or 40 years old.

I feel exactly the same way. It could be just a coincident but when I realized those dates, something just didn't feel right. It's too odd. What made me first think it was him was seeing the girls photos on the front page of our local paper. The first thing that popped into my mind was that they looked like the type of girls he would typically go after. Especially the first two that went missing.

I would not be at all surprised if some of you LI natives know him, know of him, went to school with him etc. As others here have pointed out, some SKs begin their careers while still in their teens. If 'Surfcaster' is responsible for the dismembered victims, I wonder why he stopped dismembering. Perhaps he threw his back out or something. Dismembering a body has to be a difficult task. Ugh,

However there was a young girl who disappeared on her way to school and a teenage guy kidnapped and dismembered her right in the house he shared with his mother, hid some of her parts under the house and disposed of the rest of her in a field. I cannot recall the child's name for the life of me but it was one of the most horrific cases I ever followed. I think this happened in MO, KS NE. Does anybody else remember this? It was one of those cases that caused me to take a break from WS for awhile.

Lol Long Island is a HUGE place with a population in the millions although it is like a small world out here in Suffolk.

I personally am not 100% on thinking one killer is responsible for all murders. People say, "well what is the chances of two or even three murderers using the same dumping ground?" I say, "VERY HIGH." How many bodies were dumped in the Hudson River or out in the woods in Manorville by many different people? Answer: A LOT! Countless. A man named John Bittrolf was recently caught for the murder of two women and suspected in a third woman's death. Who's to say Peaches and the other victims weren't his as well? I believe one of his victims was found in the Pine Barrans (Manorville woods). They more likely fit his MO than LISk's. Rita Tangredi was Hispanic and it is said that the toddler and mother from Gilgo are believed to be non-Caucasian. LISK seemed to perfer white women with fair skin.

Wow that is a good point. I believe LISK met Amanda (or saw her from a distance while he stalked her from afar) or he saw a photo of her in Melissa's phone and became infatuated with her.

Yes I do remember the case. I saw it on one of those shows in ID channel. Cannot remember which.

to LL6 I can imagine it because Dahmer was doing it at a young age and basically for his whole life. He started with animals. My POI has boiled the skin off of a cat (that he claims to have found already dead) so he can keep the skull. He was in his 20's when he did so. In fact, he had an entire collection of various animal skulls. One day, I noticed the skeleton of a cat under my mom's house. When I told my POI he got excited and drove out to my mom's house to take it. At the time I didn't think much of it but looking back, it was creepy.
