Another thing that occurred to me was that there are 17 people from Rochester VT in NamUs whose remains were washed away from a cemetary during Hurricane Irene in August 2011.

I doubt that there is any way the skull could have been washed into that location 50 miles away, but perhaps someone found the skull and removed it from the area, and then decided to discard it in Danby.

I just noticed that they are saying that this is a 15 to 40 year old Asian Female

very interesting-i will try to scan for some PMs.

I don't know how long they think the skull has been there (a good point was earlier made-it could be from a cemetery due to flooding, but there a few Asian females who I think match the info we have to work with, mostly based on their age, race and the fact they are from the northeast states:

**Susan Ceritelli http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/c/cerritelli_susan.html
**Cindy Song: https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/3088/35/
**Maria Nina Miller http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/m/miller_maria.html
**Hyunjung Park https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/3336/11/

For me, I think Susan and Maria would be the most likely out of the four.

Sorry, I didn't see this before I posted! Approx distances from last known alive to Danby Vermont for the other three missing women;

Susan Ceritelli, 250 mi
Maria Miller, 270 mi
Hyunjung Park, 225 mi

Is it certain that the victim was Asian? It's possible she was undocumented, and entered the States via Canada.

Skull measurements are pretty reliable. If they had only a femur or something, it would be unlikely that they could tell.

Guidelines for Collection of DNA
Status: Complete - Insufficient DNA for profiling

I don't know whether they're still working on trying to get a sample, or not.

I wonder why it's "insufficient DNA for profiling"? I mean, I see that on the VT cases from the 39s, but I expected that bc it was from the 30s... This is so recent, why would it be insufficient?

The older a bone is and the longer it's been out in the elements, the more it dries out and the less likelihood there will be enough undamaged DNA to get a profile. They estimate it could have been 20 years old.

Oh, thank you for explaining that! I was so confused, honestly. It's a shame they couldn't get a good DNA sample :(

Yeah. But they're developing new and improved procedures all the time, so hopefully they'll eventually get an answer.

A few days ago, I posted a possible match on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Unresolved...herine_clampitt_missing_since_1987_and_danby/. The name of the missing person is Catherine Clampitt and she was probably killed by John Edward Robinson. The five victims by Robinson that were found where killed by a blow to the head with a blunt object. Danby skull also has signs of trauma. I understand that Vermont is far from Kansas, but I doubt this is the first time a person goes missing in one place and is found in another. Although Clampitt went missing in 1987, she could have been killed in 1990. Also, because they didn't find anything but a skull, the time range might be a little bit off.
