ESSEX POLICE TRYING TO FIND MISSING TEEN AND HER MOTHER

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing teenager and her mother.

The Essex Police Department said it was notified Friday that Trinity Welkar, 15, had left her grandparents’ residence on Park Street in Essex. The teen is believed to be with her mother, Rebecca Phipps.

The police say they think the two are traveling in grey Saab. They say Welkar was last seen wearing a black Nike sweatshirt, blue jeans and carrying an orange backpack with black and red polka dots.

Is it weird they ask those with info on Rebecca to contact the Winooski PD & info on Trinity to contact the Essex PD? I mean I know they lived / are missing from the different towns, but it seems they are related and missing together..? Idk it just struck me as odd...
