There could be complications to both sides. Regardless of the TOS being stated; posters have been sharing stolen pictures on the forum. I would not want to see WS have to address this legally or argue their rights. However, it might be less stress if the Caylee forum went quiet for awhile. The legalities of slander are also a topic of issue. The mods have tried to keep everything mature and mild mannered. But, quite a few posters continue on with their sophmoric accusations and insinuations -as well as breaking the TOS. It is hard to define what is slander versus opinion. egh. I am not sure I want to even be participating here without Tricia around. And I hope more work is not created for the mods because of those who do not follow TOS.

Say it with me y'all":

well, then Dawg, it will have to be money orders. She cant tear them up!

It would be nice IMO to have a tally of the donations, so we know when there's enough to buy her a mac. Better yet, if one of us actually purchased it with the donations and had it sent to her!

1. I thought they got a laywer to help them find Caylee not look online for disrespectful posts. Where do they get so much money to pay someone so expensive just to have their money wasted on a lawyer's office browsing online? If they have that money why not give them to a private detective to look for Caylee?

2. People also who are bumping on adrenaline looking for their missing child and they believe LE is not helping them, would actually be browsing 24/7 in places like Websleuths or even the silliest blog out there to see if they can find a clue or a hint or a theory they can work with. Most people would not care about the insults or the foul language, they would consume every single word in trying to find a clue about the missing child. An example: Brooke Bennett case and forum here and the discussion of the case as it was happening. At least 2-3 people close to the case, relatives or friends, were participating in the forum trying to find information, to understand what was going on. Due to the nature of the case, a lot of harsh things were posted, but yet those people where consumed in finding information about the child, trying to understand what was going on. So why can't we see one normal reaction from this family - and what I mean is act like they really believe the child is alive and abducted by someone!!!

3. How can one fathom that somebody who ''believes'' and is ''looking'' for a missing child is not putting all energy and resources on that and instead has time to converse on phone with unknown people about anonymous posters and what email they sent them or got from them and posts and things like that? (Good job on your side Tricia as always on checking what is being said on this forum but seriously Cindy having time to discuss something so unimportant for her?) Worried families might have the world collapsing around them and a comet landing on their front yard and still they will let N.O.T.H.I.N.G. to D.I.S.T.R.A.C.T. them from their efforts to find the missing person or waste their valuable seconds.

4. This fixation with what is being said online and obsessively holding on control of the situation, reminds me of Cindy's control issues appearing from the first day of this case when she asked relatives and friends not to talk to the media with the excuse that their life would be changed for ever with the public exposion. Call me selfish but if my loved one was missing I would ask everyone, from my kid's karate instructor to my kid's bus school driver to go on tv and plea for my missing child. Now at the time Cindy was asking friends and relatives to basically ''shut up'', it seemed it was indeed a missing child case. No decomposition tests done or cadaver dogs findings or all the evidence we know about Casey NOW. So one can logically think that Cindy was just trying to keep their family's dirty laundry out of the media? Because SHE KNOWS all Casey has done in her 22 years of life. And that is a strange thing to worry about when you just learned your grand-child has been abducted by her nanny.

All I can say is...:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

How are the pics stolen? Because they were on Myspace and Facebook? That is probably considered a long shot, at best. If that is the implication, how can someone assume privacy when pics are posted to the internet? Not a big concern.

if you did not take the picture yourself; it is illegal. also, the laws are more strict on posting pictures of children that you do not have permission to use.
it is also against TOS of myspace and facebook to take other's photos.

CINDY: Like I said I haven't been on yours so...

I'm just getting started n this thread...so much catching up to do tonight...a blockbuster night, that's for sure!

I want to say a few things:

1. This is a lie, IMO! On 9/12 this was posted:

I saw this in the video channel 6 ran on their 6 o'clock news. It was a different video than the one they showed earlier. I was hoping they would put it on their website. I haven't checked this morning to see if they did. The reporter called them e-mails, but they definitely looked like copies of posts.

I don't know which day last week Tricia had this conversation with CA, but the trash the blogger Lorraine picked up was put out for pickup on Tuesday, 9/8. So prior to 9/8 someone in the Anthony's home was going through and printing out WS pages. I took special note of the above post because my name was visible to kidz110 from the news report. That gave me a creepy feeling!

2. I sincerely appreciate the job the mods have done, and continue to do, in this forum! I've been spanked a couple of times, but haven't been put in time out yet! The first time was because I was having a melt down when I discovered the Holy Smokes thread was taken down not once, but twice! I happen to be one of the members here who believe Caylee is alive. That has not been a popular position to take publicly, and it's a position that has received a lot of ridicule. Holy Smokes I and II revolved around the information that LP mentioned tonight on NG about WW, LR, ZG relationships. That discovery also received a lot of ridicule, especially when one member posted that she had reported the info to LE, FBI and LA. I started to get a little paranoid (probably from the lack of sleep resulting from the 24/7 sleuthing of this case!) and thought WS mods were trying to "cover it up." I expressed that in the forum and got spanked, as I should have! I also got spanked for using full names in my zeal for posting additional support for that find, and later for asking who a photobucket screen name might be, not knowing at the time it was the same screen name of a WSer who had apparently uploaded some photos from myspace sites! I am greatful for everyone of those spankings because it's what keeps WS a safe place to be and share!

3. Lastly, I could buy Trish a new pc! I hope you make lots of money with advertising - you deserve it!

I would think the only reason the attorney would look into this to make sure that we net junkies along with media are not making it more difficult to search for an alive Caylee -and for a fair trial. yeah, I am not certain of what to make of any of this. Really, the damage is done. And they can not sue the website for what any of us post. They CAN cause legal restrictions upon the site.

Can't we use one of the mods paypal acct?

If you send x amount to someone's email address, through your Paypal acct, Paypal notifies the recepient that there's money waiting for them. Don't they then have to open a Paypal acct and accept the money?

Is this what Plan A was?

With all due respect, that isn't true. Only in cases where you are profiting off said photos would it be a violation of copyright. For example, if I was a magazine editor and I took photos and reprinted them in my magazine in order to sell them, or if I took someone else's photos to use in a catalogue.

The TOS on those websites just language intended to protect the websites themselves if someone uses photos improperly.

OK let me see if I get this...I am new....

CA want to use freedom of speech when she is in her neighborhood at night arguing with a protesting in the middle of the street at night disturbing the neighbors and all the children trying to sleep.....CA was using foul language---many naughty words.....

so--WE- all internet peeps can not use foul language on the net but CA can in her streets? also...her running up to that car looks like a physical threat to me....and no one showing that poor boy an act of kindness is mind boggeling..,.,,

I have respect for others and their opinions. I do not use foul language; like CA ...I can make my point, give an opinion without using offensive language or physical threats.

I have respect for my fellow man .....

yes, I think you summed it up!! blows the mind doesn't it!!!

I am a photographer, not a weekend warrior. Unless there is a copyright infringement, there is no issue. Caylee's image has not been copyrighted, yet.

Now, about the Myspace/Facebook stuff and posting it here, that is another issue.

No need to worry, I have no interest in posting such things. Just surprised CA would be focusing on something so trivial, that's all.

Where do they get so much money to pay someone so expensive just to have their money wasted on a lawyer's office browsing online? If they have that money why not give them to a private detective to look for Caylee? I agree. Makes you wonder what they are thinking by pursuing avenues on their own, ay?

2. It's an empty threat from the grandparents who are struggling with SOMETHING to beileve in. They need to focus their efforts in a more constructive way.

I am in the belief that CA is in huge denial but maybe not so much GA or LA. It is certainly a distraction in this circus that was created.

4. Well, she's trying to control the situation but having a hard time at it. It's just not working. It's evident that she is trying to control the situation by going outside to meet protestors late at night. This is over her head, although I believe that GA knows what's coming down the pike. I wish the focus would be more on finding Caylee dead or alive than this.
