I have said it a million times before that these "mothers" need to be charged right along side their boyfriends.
Unpopular belief but it would stop a lot of these desperate pathetic women from putting their children in danger, but then again, most of these cows could care less about their kids to begin with.

PARENTS MUST PROTECT THEIR CHILDREN.

Can't judge another till I've walked a mile in their shoes. Fortunately, we have not.

I believe mothers should be charged when it is a long time relationship, and if they had prior knowlege of abuse. But this one sounds like a new relationship. And she didn't leave the baby with him, she was in the home, just in another room.

It sounds like as soon as she became aware that their was a problem with her child, she sought help and she didn't hold back on telling what happened.

When you meet someone who might be a danger to your child, it isn't like they wear a sign. They are usually sweet and charming. And helpful. Likely he had offered to help with the baby before, in front of her. Likely he was good with the baby. The fact that she was there, in the other room tells me that she probably didn't leave the baby with him, so he didn't have any other opportunities to get at the baby.

Mothers are responsible for their child's protection. But sometimes things do happen that is out of mothers hands. Mothers go to the bathroom and kids slip out and climb and fall. Kids pull their hands out of their mother's loving hands and run into traffic. Babysitters that seem perfect, are sometimes a danger. And seemingly perfect boyfriends can be lethal. All mothers hope to provide loving, total blanket protection for their children. But sometimes things do happen to the most perfect, protective mothers and children.

WHAT?? :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

HECK yeah, I will judge this woman. What kind of mother is she that she brought this freak into her life and the life of her child?

These women tend to be just as vile and evil as the men they date. NO pity here for this woman she is not the victim here at all. She FAILED her child.

YOU PROTECT YOUR CHILD. YOU LOVE YOUR CHILD MORE THAN A MAN YOU DRAG INTO YOUR BED.

This freak rapist will get his in prison. For that, I am glad.

(Added: What kind of woman allows a stranger, AKA NEW BOYFRIEND, to stay at her house and watch her child while she is "Sleeping in"? She may as well not have been home, she was asleep.
Women need to think of their kids first. Not their desperate need for a man. She did a lot of things wrong and just because she took the baby to the hospital does not mean she is not to blame, it just means she did the right thing for once.)

Nickerson drove her and the boy to Kalispell Regional Medical Center, and the boy was later transferred to Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, where he was treated for three days in pediatric intensive care. The boy has since recovered from his injuries and is now almost 2 years old.

The woman admitted on the stand to "shooting up" methadone the day before the incident and injecting Nickerson with methadone the night before.

Wow, these stories don't seem to come have happy ending but this one does. The baby is OK -- the best news of all, and the creep that abused him will do some serious jail time. Not the the 200 years but he will be away from kids for a long time.

“Please give me a chance,” a tearful Nickerson begged the court, blaming drugs and his circumstances at the time for the crimes.

When pronouncing the sentence, District Judge Stewart Stadler cited a report that placed Nickerson at a high risk of re-offending, but he also took Nickerson’s age into consideration.

“Hopefully they’ll let you out once you’ve had sufficient treatment and are no longer a threat to society,” Stadler told Nickerson

Give him a chance, huh? Like the chance he gave that sweet, innocent child!? :furious:

AND

Seriously? Why do these people think that pedophiles can be cured??
