Bump, bump.

I think about Chris so often, he seems like someone that I would have hung around with as a young one.

I want Chris found just as bad as Kyron. . .

Family of missing Spanaway man demands justice

The family of a missing Spanaway man said they know he's dead and are demanding that investigators do more to find his killer.

[snip]

Virdell’s mother and brother held and wore signs as the marched at the Pierce County City/County building Sunday because they blame Pierce County Sheriff's deputies for waiting to search for Virdell because they believed he was an adult who had ran away.

Great comment after the article. I agree...he was still a boy. I continue to pray for him and his family. I admire them so much for their tenacity. I pray they will get the resolution they seek and deserve.

Bumping for Chris...

Where are you ....

Prayers and hope to you and your family ....

Justice is needed. Someone knows something. Besides whoever was directly involved, I have a distinct gut instinct that someone saw something. Prayers that this person(s) will come forward.

Bumping

Sean Munger wrote about about Chris on his blog today. Sean is a friend of Meagan/Charley Project. Not sure if I can post a link because it is a blog but just Google Sean Munger. Nothing new but more exposure for Chris is wonderful.

God Bless the Virdell family. What a wondrous and loving tribute. They must be such awesome people.

Here's the article to go with that video:

Man shot by Pierce County sheriff’s deputy was prime suspect in unsolved murder

When a Pierce County sheriff's deputy shot and killed Michael Bourquin, the 21-year-old was wanted on an arrest warrant in connection with a drug and identity theft case. But sources tell KIRO 7 he was also the prime suspect in the disappearance and possible slaying of Christopher Virdell, a Spanaway teenager who vanished nearly two years ago.

I'm sure that despite the POI's death (such a young man, I feel sorry for his family) someone knows something and will hopefully talk, maybe it's easier for them now.

I can't believe it's been 2 years since Chris disappeared. I remember reading about him vanishing back then.

ITA, MM. When reading this, I, too, thought maybe someone would speak up now. Someone who may have been afraid to before.

:praying:

Found this article dated May 12 on Chris' missing page. Carbonado is about 25 miles east of 224th Street in Spanaway:

http://www.thenewstribune.com/2014/05/12/3192029/human-skill-found-near-carbonado.html

A man searching for elk antlers in a forested area near Carbonado discovered a human skull Saturday, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.

The skull was intact and had most of its teeth, except for a few found lying nearby. A search of the area did not turn up any other bones or remains.

It was found on a slope on 150,000 acres of privately owned timberland where people can get a permit to cut down or collect firewood.

And this one dated March 1. Centralia is less than 50 miles to the southwest:

The Lewis County sheriff's office says a man walking his dog stumbled upon human skeletal remains outside of Centralia in a wooded area.

The remains were found Friday evening. Search teams canvassed the area on Saturday. Authorities say the area where the remains were found is close to the roadway and it's owned by the Trans Alta power company.

At this point, investigators believe the remains were dumped. Gender, age, ethnicity and other identifying factors are not known at this time. The remains will be sent to King County to be examined by a forensic pathologist who has expertise in identifying human remains.

Still no ID per NamUs, but estimated to be 20-30 years old, caucasian, sex unknown, only partial remains recovered.

Rest in peace, Chris. My sincerest thoughts to your family, friends, and loved ones. May you finally rest in peace and may your family have some level of comfort now.

This is so sad, but a relief for the family, I'm sure. At WS we always hope for the best, while fearing for the worst. I didn't think this case would have a happy ending but prayed for it, just the same. Godspeed, Chris. May the perpertrator(s) responsible for your tragic death be found and brought to justice. :prayer:

My heart just sank a little bit when I saw the "Found deceased" in front of Chris' name. I've been following his case since he went missing 2.5 years ago and I expected an outcome like that, it's still so very sad. RIP Chris. Thinking of his loved ones.

Heartbreaking.

I am glad that he was found so that the family can have a proper burial, but so upset that Chris was even taken from his life.

RIP Chris.
