I would find it odd if LE didn't investigate Ginger's death as a homicide considering she was missing for about six weeks before her body was found in a remote area partially covered and her car was moved and stripped. Any witnesses had six weeks to come forward with any information about Ginger disappearance before her was body was found and investigated as a homicide. A homicide investigation provides more resources than an unknown death investigation.
Because of Ginger's drug use it could be argued she was using drugs with someone else and OD and the other person freaked out and tried to cover-up the incident therefore not a homicide but other criminal charges could apply.
@tnith, I am curious what investigative tactic you think LE should use that would be appropriate in relation to Ginger's death. Do you believe LE is using misdirection in their investigation and if so for what purpose. I guess an argument could made that LE might use the lone nut theory as more acceptable to the public than drug and/or human trafficking.
