just using this post for the picture - (thanks btw)

when I zoom in (maybe about 6 times w/firefox thru view menu)

to me it looks like a wooden frame with a fan attached to it - you can see through the frame, it's not solid.

were they drying something? did they not have air conditioning?

looks like a deliberate set up/way to use fan - all moo :moo:

Maybe an old fashioned window fan

I haven't read every news report. Has anyone in the community mentioned any "outsiders" or new people/strangers in the area? I would think if there was a transient they'd stick out like a sore thumb. In our neighborhood everyone calls everyone when someone enters the neighborhood to sell magazines! Anyone new gets talked about, big time! (I don't mean people new to the neighborhood, I mean passers through... We also only have one way in/out so the neighbors on that end watch for them to leave...

All posts are MOO

I have heard a lot in the news about transients in the area. I assume that means either people that come and rent trailers and leave quick or homeless. I have not seen any real clarification.
For me, All options are open now. I don't see a clear answer.

I am sickened to see this child who seemed to be left to her own devices and was raised like a pet. They let her out all over, She ate at people's places and showed up when she wanted.
It is shameful.

I believe that this is going to turn out to be a known person.

What about an attic fan?
My daughter lived in Pierce County and her apartment complex did not have air conditioning, it was fairly new too. Is a/c in most homes? Mobile homes? :dunno:

What did the detective say about her clothing? I wonder if she was found without any clothes on.

I'm hopeful that she did have on clothes. When asked if she was wearing the pink shirt last seen in, he replied ( paraphrasing ) that he would have to look into that or he wasn't sure at this time. I think that if she had on NO clothing, he would be sure and he would have replied something like no comment or not at this time or cannot disclose it. So since he didn't seem to know what she was wearing, that makes me think she was clothed and that is a tiny bit of ... I don't want to say good news... but I hope she was clothed.

Not sure if this is relevant or not, I think it is.
This was not a trailer park, it is a mobile home park, there is a difference.
Trailer parks are just that, people park their trailers, mortar homes or campers in them. They can up and leave with what they are living in.
These are not trailers.

If Janise was last seen when going to bed Saturday night, and the parents did'nt realize she was missing until Sunday night when she did not come home for dinner, why didn't the parents realize she was missing Sunday morning?
Did the parents think Janise just hopped out of bed before anyone else and left early to roam the neighborhood?
Were the parents use to waking up and not having their 6 year old daughter in the house?
Why did't the parents sound the alarm when Janise was not home on Sunday for breakfast or lunch? Did they not feed their child?
Why did it take all the way to Sunday night during dinner time to realize Janise was gone?
Where did Janise get her meals/breakfast/lunch on Sunday? Were the neighbors use to feeding her?
The timeline is just messed up for me and does not make sense.

The only "excuse" I can think of (and it's not a good one) is for breakfast that morning....if the parents slept in and woke up and she was already on her usual neighborhood jaunt, they COULD have thought the 8 year old or 12 year old fed her breakfast.....or maybe she was used to just grabbing a pop tart on her own or even pouring milk in a bowl of cereal.....perhaps it was usual for her to get up early and feed herself?? With other people/older sibs in the house, the parents could have assumed they'd talked to her and not even asked.

I think she didn't even make it to breakfast, but I could see the parents not really thinking anything of her not being there given their M.O. of not paying attention to her, especially if they slept in.

I think to the average person who does not live in one of these communities, the terms are used interchangeably.

yes, the box type kind.
attached to a wooden frame - something they could easily move around the house.

to be used for drying clothes or move to the stuffy part of the house and be at a higher angle than the floor (if not in window)

The person posting who lives on the area said there's a homeless camp in the wooded area between the park and 303 iirc. To get through those bushes you have to have a machete or a high pain tolerance! Or drive a vehicle of some type back there. Not sure if it would pop bicycle tires but would think yes. The back perimeter of my yard is lined with them, and they HURT. I can't even pick the berries without getting scratched and stuck - and for me the scratches are even itchy and red like a bug bite. Someone was on a mission to get back there.

Bah - lots of nothing. Teaser for another report at 11. Bah!

Well, once again we're left with more answers than questions. I know LE and all of the agencies involved are working tirelessly and I appreciate their effort and dedication.

I'm certain they have someone(s) in their radar and I appreciate they have to keep many details close to their vest. So, for me, I guess it's just hurry up and wait. FWIW, I'm leaning toward someone within the MHP and not dad. More specifically, a teenage someone in the MHP. JMO

Because it's not a "campground", it's a permanent residence. Less turnover.

It makes me wonder if they already have another suspect in mind.

"That has nothing to do with this investigation right now," Kitsap County sheriff's Deputy Scott Wilson said at a news briefing Wednesday.

Of the parents, he said at the time: "I can't emphasize enough how cooperative they both have been with law enforcement authorities in the course of this investigation."

LE often say that about suspects.

Big thank you to madamreporter for the press conference recap! I really hated to miss it but I knew a WS would transcribe it.

Thanks ! If that could be the case then lets hope the siblings have a lot more information to give to the authorities because the parents are useless in my opinion...

I don't live in one of these communities.
It seems that some think they are interchangeably.
I was explaining that they really aren't.

All along I've had the same feeling.....a teenager or early twenties at the oldest. So many of these cases seem to end that way :(. Weak pathetic man children who can't get women/girlfriends so they take out their frustrations on defenseless children.

I didn't know that they aren't so thank you, but I don't see how that is relevant to this case. What did you mean by that?
