Circumstances of Disappearance:
Numata was last seen in Spokane, Washington in March of 1996. He has never been heard from again. His white 1990 Honda Accord was recovered by the Spokane County Sheriff's Office from the Seven Mile suburb near the Spokane River. Few details are available regarding Numata's disappearance and his whereabouts remain unknown.

When I saw in the above post that he had served in the Army during the WW2 years, I looked over at the GoForBroke web page, a site to honor World War II American veterans of Japanese ancestry. sure enough, I found Jerry Numata’s name there.

He served in the famed 442nd Regimental Combat Team, an Army unit composed of Japanese Americans (Nisei) from Hawai’i and the mainland United States.

His name is engraved with many others who served, on the Go For Broke Monument in Los Angeles, CA.
