I just switched on wildabout and saw some guy with what looked like sneakers and no socks (ewww) and wondered WTH I was dropping in on!

Oh, it must be a pic of one of the jurors. Maybe the camera person thinks he/she is expressing their artistic side but I wish the person, when in doubt, show the defendant. Especially one that colors and shows his emotions so transparently.

This LE lady is only one step below receiving the highest degree given to trackers. I find this stuff fascinating.

I don't understand why this Prosecutor asks the LE tracking expert to not give any details on if she reached any conclusions but to say if she had reached an opinion.

I don't understand the logic. Why not ask if the witness has an made a determination and then if the State wants details ask the witness about it, how she arrived at it etc .

Be warned I think the State is coming back with photos.

I think they first wanted to make clear in the minds of the jury how strong her credentials were before moving on to evidence and then conclusions?

LE expert going over Niki's body and how it was found. Picture thank God not too clear or gruesome. Expert says Niki was "gently placed" in the position she was found.

God bless Niki's family for having to see this.

The tape was horrible. Couldn't make much of it, to be honest.

I am surprised there are not more sleuthers following this case. This murder was as brutal as Michelle Young's, with the added effed-upness of Niki having been left naked in the woods to, literally, rot.

I have no feeling about Pietz' guilt or innocence. Can anyone "educate me?"

I have not much more background than this: Niki was reported missing by defendant and was found 9 days later in the woods, naked, wearing her mouth guard/retainer she used to sleep in. Her car was recovered about 2 weeks after she disappeared.

Husband made inconsistent statements to LE, and had multiple affairs (LE maintain the affairs were motive). Years later, he wanted to sell a bracelet he claimed Niki had on when she last saw her.

Nicole Pietz's body was found without the wedding ring she always wore, her mother said. There was nothing under her nails indicating a struggle, and she was wearing the night guard she wore to bed. Schneider added her daughter was headed to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting.

"I don't think she'd be wearing a night guard going to her 8-year sobriety meeting," said Schneider. "She would have been dressed to kill."

What is it about these poor women being stripped of their wedding ring(s) at their deaths? Jason Young over here on the East coast did the same thing -- took her diamond & band (and she paid for over half the diamond ring, to boot). Nothing else was taken from the house. Wouldn't that look a bit odd to LE? Grrrrrr.
