Welcome to WS and to Sky's thread!

Anyone ever hear any news on Julia? I wonder where she is living, what she is doing to make a living, if her OCD continues to control her life, and whether or not she will face criminal charges for child neglect (at a minimum) for "leaving Sky in the car" while she "went for gas". At least for lying to authorities - she never got gas IIRC.
I hope SM and MM are doing well and they have found a place of peace despite not having Sky in their lives.
Leaving a child unattended in a car is also a gross misdemeanor: http://apps.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=9.91.0609.02.270 Neglect of a child or dependent person.
A. A person is guilty of the crime of neglect of a child or dependent person if the person is a parent of a child, a person entrusted with the physical custody of a child or other dependent person, or a person employed to provide to the child or dependent person any of the basic necessities of life, and with criminal negligence, the person:
1. Withholds any of the basic necessities of life; or
2. Maintains living conditions that place the child or dependent person at a significant risk of disease, illness, or bodily injury; or
3. Supervises the child or dependent person and:
a. As a result of such supervision, the child or dependent person suffers bodily injury; or
b. The supervision creates a substantial risk that the child or dependent person will suffer bodily injury; or
4. Fails to supervise the child or dependent person and:
a. As a result of such failure, the child or dependent person suffers bodily injury; or
b. Such failure creates a substantial risk that the child or dependent person will suffer bodily injury.
G. Neglect of a child or dependent person is a gross misdemeanor.

It is a shame she has evaded justice thus far. I hope her mind doesn't let her have peace. I hope she faces justice is other forms and is tormented by what she did.And if police were to prove that, it could preclude them from later seeking murder charges if Sky’s body were to be found and evidence showed he had not been in the car, Tyler said.
“It’s always frustrating when there is a case that is open for so long, but it’s still an active case. We follow up on every lead and we never lose hope,” he said. “We were recently able to file charges on a 34-year-old murder case. We don’t close them until they’re solved.” http://www.seattletimes.com/seattle...-still-an-active-investigation-after-3-years/
I have been thinking a lot about Sky! Thinking about a "mother" who took this little boy away from his loving father with lies upon lies. I have been comparing her to other cases. Can you even imagine what little M and Sky lived through with this mentally ill woman?
We haven't given up on justice for you baby Sky! Still here praying for Solomon.
wenwe - It's partially your fault I have Sky on my mind so much lately! When we post in the same thread together, I think of Sky!

There are more recent comments on this article as of March, 2015 (interestingly, the same day posters here checked in).

I just read in one of the comments from Julias neighbours, that Julia is pregnant. Oh please no. Do not let it be true.

I think the statute of limitations on a criminal prosecution for child neglect has passed: (1) Prosecutions for criminal offenses shall not be commenced after the periods prescribed in this section...
(h) No other felony may be prosecuted more than three years after its commission; except that in a prosecution under RCW 9A.44.115, if the person who was viewed, photographed, or filmed did not realize at the time that he or she was being viewed, photographed, or filmed, the prosecution must be commenced within two years of the time the person who was viewed or in the photograph or film first learns that he or she was viewed, photographed, or filmed.
(i) No gross misdemeanor may be prosecuted more than two years after its commission.

Neglect is a gross misdemeanor:
Leaving a child unattended in a car is also a gross misdemeanor: http://apps.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=9.91.060
If they could prove great bodily harm it could be a felony: http://apps.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=9A.42.020 http://apps.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=9A.42.060
Also, I think they never did charge her with neglect because if they found evidence of murder, it would be double jeopardy:

That is troubling news. She and Casey Anthony, both getting another chance to play Mommy.
Thank you Gitana. I also want to ask , if Sky was taken and being hidden somewhere, like the Ukraine, if this is ever proven and/or if he is ever found would that be "kidnapping" ? TIA
ETA: Not saying I believe little Sky is in the Ukraine but unfortunately deceased at the hands of this mean, crazy b****.
