There is something about receiving money as a gift - don't know for sure but I think up to certain amount you don't have to report it - still looking

Good article about the 'scam' fund. I really open MM cracks this open and exposes all of the fraud.

The organizations that should conduct an investigation into where the money went should be the IRS, the FL Attorney General and the FL Secretary of State's office.

but aren't there LAWS about using money donated for Charitable Corporations, that you have to actually use that donated money for the CHARITY?? at least SOME of it??? and NOT use it for whatever you want? Heck, EVERYONE would be doing that kind of thing..... wait, maybe everyone is, who knows? look at BringKidsHome and the Caylee Memorial that was supposed to be down in the swampland at the end of Hopespring Drive, whatever happened to THAT scam??

Yes, there are laws. They can only pay officers and employees reasonable salaries and most other expenditures should be for charitable cause. Wonder if anyone's called the IRS. If Caylee's foundation was a 501(c)(3), it is are limited by the application made to and approved by the IRS with regard to the kinds and levels of expenditures it can make. If $600,000+ went in and nothing substantive of a charitable nature was accomplished, perhaps an audit would be in order.
