What do you make of Terri never speaking to the media?

We haven't heard anything about this from LE or media (at least I don't remember). I think so many have made the assumption that her cell pings don't match where she was on that Friday that it has started to seem like it's the truth.

Or... things have been leaked.

Well, I would eagerly listen to what she has to say, of course, but if I was her friend I would strongly discourage her of saying anything before talking with an attorney.

Wonder what she sees as the benefit to the public from her speaking.

I am thinking she would protest her innocence and play the victim. I doubt she would confess lol. I think the reason it would be interesting is to see her hang herself. Like so many other interviews where the perp is later arrested it is fascinating to see the web they try to weave.

I was just sitting here thinking, and cant answer this in my own mid. How did we come to learn that she was lieing about that morning? Is it from the article that stated about the cell pings? has that been confirmed yet, or am I forgetting something that confirms she wasnt were she said she was.......I'm not doubting this at all but cant figure out how we have come to accept this as a fact.... Help me out my brain is fried:truce:

IIRC it was her cell phone pings that started sinking her ship. Since she was the last to see Kyron I guess LE ran a check of her cell pings and compared the pings to where she SAID she was that morning after 8:45am. If she said she was somewhere other than Sauvie Island, that's undoubtably what got LE's hinky meter up.

If she had just said she was on Sauvie Island, and had maybe bought some produce from a stand there somewhere or done something that would prove to LE she was there, she might have escaped as a suspect for a bit longer....

I think the reports of red mustang and white truck chasing it on Sauvie is a red herring, but that's JMO...

This whole cell phone ping stuff really baffles me with this case. If TM was so into CSI and crime type stuff (I did read that, didn't I???) then it makes no sense for her to not know that would be the easiest thing for LE to check. I mean, come on....that's CSI 101!!! If she planned to do something, why would she take her phone along with her?! If she's as smart as she thinks she is, this one would be a no-brainer. Assuming the cell phone ping reports are correct, the only explanation I can think of is that something happened unexpectedly, she panicked and the possibility of phone pings didn't even cross her mind.

This case has me :banghead:

PORTLAND, Ore. - Close friends of Terri Horman, the stepmother of missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman, say they wish she would speak out so people can hear her side of the story, and they’ve also advised her to hire an attorney.

Those friends, who have declined to speak on camera, said her husband’s motion to divorce is leaving her without the funds to afford a quality lawyer.

Sorry! I wasn't being serious about that. You are right that Padilla is the last person that needs to get involved here. And the last thing TH needs is to be exploited or made to look worse by someone else pretending to be her friend to get to the truth.

I really hope she decides to get a lawyer and not talk. The focus needs to stay on Kyron, like you said, and not his stepmother.

Hi hope you didn't take my post wrong. When I read yours I laughed and said OMG! She is right, where is Padilla?? That guy just rubs me the wrong way!!

And forgotten in the middle of all of this is a bespectacled little boy who's missing.

:(

Hardly.

Haven't *some* been clamoring for her to speak out since day one? And many have pointed at her lack of media contact as being suspicious?

If she had retained a lawyer before now everyone would think she had something to hide. She now has an obvious need for legal advice - it will not surprise me if she does not end of up talking to the media though I'll be disappointed.

Not everyone. I would think she was smart to do so.

I HOPE she doesn't speak out to media without an attorney present. They'd probably advise against doing so at all, IMO.

Where's Gloria Allred?

probably defending some mistress of some sort....(sorry....it has just annoyed me lately that she is doing that!--but then again most of the cases she happens upon ???????:waitasec:--makes you wonder!)

There was an article that said a source for the Sheriff's Dept. said that her story did not match what her cell phone pings told. The article was copied into one of the threads (sorry, don't remember which one); but, the link contained a virus and was deleted. Don't try to go to it because it caused my windows to crash. I spent a couple of hours yesterday fixing that. Go back and check the other threads.

lol, she is busy being the attorney to the mistresses of the stars and protecting their little bruised egos. OT but really, since when does a mistress of a CLEARLY married celeb have any legal standing to be demanding apologies, face time before the camera and lest we forget A PAYDAY?

yikes, the world's gone mad, mad I say.

Okay back on topic. If Terri does take counsel, I would certainly hope it would be someone versed in media wrangling and criminal law and not some "holywood" type attorney who is only about courting the press and getting on all the newstainment shows.

Is this based upon the WW article?

Which makes me mistrust the "source", the article, and its contents, but thats just me. Since we can't read the article to confirm my suspicions, I am willing to bet that the "source" is anonymous, unnamed, and unverifiable. Of course, almost everything in this case is that way.

I don't think she will be speaking publicly any time soon. I imagine she's had a breakdown of sorts, and soon we will hear she's quietly entered a hospital for a short stay-due to exhaustion. It would be a smart move for her. Get her away from the public to a place where no one will ask any questions and even if she blabs, it's held confidential.

Maybe I read too much celeb gossip, but it always seems as soon as there's a scandal, off they go to rehab until the dust settles.
