We will join in! I don't hear this song too much.. I will email a request to Dick Biondi and see if he can play this on the oldies show. He played Brandy - looking glass for me on the air twice for Anna.

Dick Biondi, born 1932 was the second DJ in the states to play the Beatles... he is still on the air 5 nights a week in Chicago on WLS fm 94.7 . He plays the real oldies- early 60's some late 50's on Friday nights.

His web page claims to be the first dj in the states to play the beatles... I'm not sure I will back that up, but first or second to play the Beatles in the states... we can request he play the Beatles for Anna! Though it will air friday night Chicago time...

Great idea Cubby. I knew you would be on board with this. Lets see how many little green light we have on. I will PM Pink, Bern and Raf to let them know. Can anyone PM any of the other long termer's/regulars?

I have sent PM's to PinkPanther, Bern, raf, branwynbreeze, ProudGramma.

If anyone needs to work out what time 9am Cali time will be in there area/country, log on to 'world clock' and you will be able to work it out.

No pressure for anyone to be here, but the more prayers/affirmations the better.

Annasmon,

Contacting the Facebook admins and maybe the Myspace admins to send a message to all Anna's friends to let them know about our online vigil is a fantastic idea. Are you or maybe Cubby able to contact the admins?

I am here now for Anna's Saturday vigil, it is just about 10AM Eastern time. I cannot stay however, we're off to visit my husband's mother who is quite ill.

~ Praying for Anna to be found, she needs to come home and be in the arms of her family. Sending vibrant waves through the universe esp. today in hopes of this happening soon.

~ Because no sign of Anna has ever been found, this leads me to think she is with another family, perhaps married now, perhaps wondering what to do with some memories she has....

~ I do believe the old saying, 'someone knows something' to be true, and if you are that someone reading today, tomorrow, next week, please please come forward with whatever it is that you may know about Anna. Life is way too short for no sign of Anna, we will keep all messages private. Please come forward if you have any information at all.

Bless ya'll,
Sidekick.

2am here in Australia and I'm almost awake ;)

I pray for Anna, Annasmon, Anna's family and all of us here at WS.

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen

Please God, help us bring Anna home to her loving family who have never given up hope.

Almost twenty people have posted "I am here" in response to the Facebook invitation to join the on-line vigil for Anna.

I came here to share something kind of OT but before I do.... I had forgotten about that picture of Anna in the window. It reminded me how often I find myself searching for Anna by not just looking at someone who might resemble her as an adult. But also as someone who might now have children who resemble Anna as a child or teen. I do find myself glancing in crowds at kids who might resemble Anna and then glancing at their parents if they do.

Back to the reason I came to this thread. Last week the word searching was one of the optional challenge words on my sons spelling list. He's well aware of the searching for Anna site so that is the sentence we used (he likes to use it in a sentence...) On the drive to school the morning of the test that is the sentence he used when practising his spelling words. It was also the only word he choose to add the sentence to that morning. Kind of made me smile to know he too has an interest in missing persons at a young age.

Anna at the window.

The picture didn't carry over but it is one of my favorites of Anna. I especially love the sun shining on her hair.

On another OT note, to share once again how Anna is never far from my mind and always in my heart.

A few days ago I had to stop at my sons school to drop off a bunch of paperwork for this upcoming school year. It just happened that my sons teacher was also there and told me she just got back from a San Fran vacation, and they took a drive down Hwy 1.

Right away I wished I had a better memorized map in my head of Hwy 1 along the coast where Anna lived in HMB and near where Annas mom currently resides. At least the Hwy1 route/drive. (not the private stuff....)

I did ask if she saw exits for Half Moon Bay and was able to tell her about Anna, and show her the 'coin' someone made ages ago for the geo-caching. (sp?) I keep that coin on my keychain... I told her so many nice things about Annas mom, and how even my son asks often about Anna and her family.

I think I will send my sons teacher the link to searchingforanna and Anna's Charley Project page.

Just another avenue to keep Anna's name and face out there.

Thanks for letting me share.

Cubby, Highway One runs along the coast the full length of California. Verde Road, which turns into Purisima, runs perpendicular and directly to the east of Highway One, about seven miles south of Half Moon Bay. We now live a few blocks away from Highway One, but about 14 miles north of Purisima. I love that picture at the window, too. I remember when I took it.

OT so I am adding this here. I'm going to try and quit smoking... cold turkey later this month. So I may be off WS for a few days. I don't want to be a raging maniac while going through nicotine withdrawals and posting (not a good combo). Grandma is going to take my son for 5 days, since I know I will be completely zoned out and very crabby. When I tried cold turkey before, I literally sat on the floor and cried. So I just want that time to let my body go through the withdrawals, without bothering anyone...

If I'm unsuccesful cold turkey I am going to do the patch and wellbutrin (which is the same thing as Zyban, but insurance pays for it as wellbutrin).

Ciggies are going up another dollar a pack in IL later this month, and I don't want to pay that much for smokes. So wish me luck!

good luck cubby quitting smoking is very hard. i have an aunt who quit smoking cold turkey for 8 years she then got divorced and went back to smoking, i have uncle him and his wife my aunt they are heavy smokers he has tried in the past to stop but always goes back he now rolls his own cigs much cheeper

Thank you smile. A recovering nicotine addict has to take the same steps and principals as with any other addiction. Just one and you'll be back out there. that's how I plan on approaching this...

A date is set. It will be the 26th I will be offline for 5 days while my body goes through the nicotine withdrawals. No one here will want to listen to me whine about it, lol.... but I will be back after those 5 days. :D

Best of luck Cubby. I should join you - not really we'd probably kill each other.

Best wishes, Cubby! You and your family deserve your health.

Log in if you want -- I can weed handle whining with respect for your consistent solid input here!

Stay brave, you can beat it....

Good luck Cubby. You know how to contact me and you know you can rant and rave as much as you want :) I'm a smoker and have also tried cold turkey a few times, so I understand. I wish you the best of luck but don't be too disappointed in yourself if it doesn't work the first time, just keep trying until you succeed. You are a strong person and I know you will get there in the end :) xoxo

Thank you, OzzieMum. I kind of have to make this work. My son is going to be at his grandmother's for 5 days while I go through the withdrawals.

If after 5 days my son comes home and I tell my mom, I only lasted a few hours.... I'm gonna be in big trouble. :floorlaugh:

I don't expect it to be pretty, but at least my son won't be here with me while I'm holy terror, lol, withdrawing from nicotine.

I found a nicotine anonymous meeting that meets once a week not too far. I might check that out next week.
