That is why I am still here saying a prayer every day that these little girls get justice in the spirit world. I know they want it bad.
I keep coming back to Epstein and his buddies. If there were girls or even recruiters, like Maxwell, and even guys that he/his influential guests couldn't pay off...maybe, he had other people, who he also had dirt on, take care of the problem girls/guys, recruiters and fixers, When his Male "clean up guy", Rodriguiz, tried to sell and then released Epstein's detailed black book of guests and girls, he was soon dead at the age of 60.

Then, remember the Washington Madame, a very similar situation, she said she would never kill herself but when her book of clients was threatened to be revealed she was convicted and ended up dead in her mom's shed. One of her girls that went public was also found dead by "suicide," not long before Deborah Jean Palfrey was found hanging.
About Epstein, he "owned" properties in NYC, Palm Beach and Stanley, NM. All areas that a few of us have looked at in connection with this case. He also maintained a place in NYC that he called the "model's apartment." Many of the girls were of Eastern European backgrounds.

Isn't Epstein into the more virginal underage young girls, 13-14 age range from what I have read and when with of age girls, they are tall models. He is rich enough to buy these type girls from about anywhere in the world. I could be very wrong, but I tend to think drug using prostitutes of age who have had sex with many many men would not be their/ his first choice.
But then again, he is a sick man and could be very angry toward women and picking them up in a Limo with the promise of money could hold merit.
It will be interesting to read more on this theory.
MS-13 a possibility? They are thriving on LI. Ton of coverage regarding the gang in the local news. A lot of members hold day jobs, allowing them to hide in plain site. In particular, members are known to work in landscaping. Gang is likely to be involved in the sex trade. Possible the gang didn't want outsiders & independents encroaching on their territory. Bodies left on the beach as more of a message for them to stay out?

in my unprofessional opinion the natives, benefitted.
let me explain...
1)The community benefits IF; people want a "quiet" community, and there has been a certain element that is starting to grow... if they can make the community look something other than "safe" then the tourists stop coming. And all becomes quiet.
2) The community/ex-political official benefit: If the municipal officials are WANTING the tourists to come and advertise as the area being a "SAFE" family environment, then to suddenly start having a serial killer claim the territory, would have the opposite effect. Less tourists.
3) local Churches
but there could be many others mainly the killer benefits, especially if he thinks he is on a mission from God to clean up the "environment". The killer thinks he is also cleaning up the morality of "his" world. Are there always "four" victims killed around the same time? Going with the God-complex theme, the fourth commandment is to keep the sabbath day holy, no working. The dates when they were killed for a lot of them is on the weekend, but when exactly? The seventh day is a saturday (starting at midnight, 12:00 saturday morning) for some, the sabbath day starts at sundown on a saturday night for the jewish faith, and starts at midnight 12:00 on saturday night for other Christians. I just think the number of victims matters too. So knowing exact time of time of death is helpful.
4) HUNTERS; they hate having to compete with other hunters/tourists The less people coming to hunt in "their" favorite spots the better for them.
Having said that... I saw the police photo showing the police and dog doing a search and in the photo it appears that "newly" planted trees braced with stakes for bracing were planted. Does anyone know what type of tree were planted on that end of the island? Black Gum perhaps? (you can still see them on google earth). ALSO- How do they know there are not more bodies? The only reason I ask is because, they are only searching because something led them out there to look in the first place. Are they still searching? When was the last time they actively searched? Those girls in the biz need to form some sort of check-in with some others, as soon as one disappears the others are aware of it.

My thought on them leaving their phones.. They'll be more trusting to leave a mobile behind if they were talking or first meeting with a woman.. who maybe lured them.. then they were then confronted by a man? Maybe even later on? A couple? Remember its not just dudes who use ladies of the night.. it's almost 2020!? But i think that trust (not first time) or a big payday is going to be the biggest motivating factors here..
As far as serial killer(s) there's at least one... And just one.. Occam's razor! Simplest explanation is usually correct..

If this were true, talk about the doors being blown off this case.....would make sense why it wasnt solved, etc.....but imo, Epstein went after the more innocent young women that were into modeling, etc.
I doubt he would want regular every day sex workers, unless he was just into torture & killing & not sex.

I don't remember "Wet and Wild Girls" specifically but you're likely correct, and it may be worth searching for a comment about it in old WS threads (if possible)... and maybe find a tie-in to additional people and/or theories we've later learned about.
