 Thieves Take 400-Pound Elephant Sculpture

NATICK, Mass. -- Police in Natick, Mass., are investigating a theft that must have required some heavy lifting. A 400-pound elephant sculpture was reported stolen from a local business earlier this week.

The elephant's owners, Dennis and Myrna Starr, said they noticed the hand-carved, granite sculpture was missing when they returned home from Cape Cod.
The couple said a 250-pound Japanese-style lantern pagoda was also was stolen.
Dennis Starr told the MetroWest Daily News he's offering a reward for the elephant's return. And he said it won't be peanuts.

Starr said the elephant is worth about $2,500.

His wife said it originally took three men with a dolly to move the granite pachyderm.

He isn't in my fridge, I just checked the butter for his footprints

Altho, it felt like he was sitting on my lungs the last week or so! [We have a horrible flu going round here.] :(

I heard he ran away with a pregnant donkey, they are expecting a republocrat.
