Yes, well-written! And the FBI's acknowledgement that Jayme was the big break in the case was appropriate.

I think LE is in the habit of thanking everyone on the case and they were keyed up during the conference. Hopefully, the 4:00pm one will be more balanced.

I think it's OK to thank all of the other agencies that helped them even though they didn't specifically find her. I'm sure they all did a ton of work we don't know about.

One positive is that she seems to have a very loving family.She seemed to have a very close relationship with the aunt who seemed to take her to her school fuctions.Hopefully they surround her with love and get her therapy.

Here are some of my initial thoughts on the PC (head and emotions are still reeling so this might not be my most eloquent or clear post):

LE has stated they are currently serving searching warrants and this is still an active and fluid investigation and Jayme has been medically cleared and the questioning begins as LE gains more information. However, and I say this after watching infinite PCs, that IMO LE does likely know the answer to some of the questions that they said they do not know (and I realize they said there will be more information at 4:00) but imo LE a)doesn’t want to say as these details would be too disturbing for the general public as the whole country is watching this PC and b) is going to measures to protect the victim’s privacy and rightfully so. There is no way though that these details will not eventually come out considering the interest and publicity in this case unless documents are redacted - I feel bad for Jayme that her classmates will likely learn what type of indignities she likely suffered and this is going to be a lot for kids of that age to process.

Secondly, my first impression when they showed his mugshot was “that little punk??” Meaning I think I expected someone bigger or something...

I was thinking of what JC went thru today; and how I hope she can move where no one knows her, start over, change her name maybe, due to everyone will eventually find out what she went thru. She's at such a young age..I was extremely happy to read medically cleared and DO NOT want to hear she is pregnant or was or anything like that, God Forbid..

I thought of many abducted girls who had baby after baby after baby with their captor and am thankful she escaped that horror..

Ditto on the mug shot, little snot .. infuriating to no end the entire ordeal. I am sure he's got a juvenile record that will lead us to how this happened...all those red flags missed or ignored, now two parents dead and a daughter witnessed their murders, then who knows what she went thru for 3 months. I wonder if this guy tried to contact JC on SM or was stalking her for a while before he enacted this horrific plan to kidnap her.

They aren't criticized for "doing their job", if and when they are criticized, it's because they are doing their job in a bad manner. There are lots of problems in this country because LE aren't doing their jobs in the correct manner and people just put them on a pedestal and don't take a critical eye at how they do their jobs. Certainly not all of them, and not all the time. But blind admiration just because they are LE helps nothing or no one.

I saw on her FB profile that she lists what dance school she goes to. Maybe he saw her FB and waited outside to figure what classes she went to or something and then followed her parents car?

Gauging by the time of year, it could also have been a county fair, a high school football game, or even a shopping mall/Wal-mart.

Did Jayme have a party for her 13th at the casino? If she did, quite possibly the perp was celebrating his 21st at the same time - a lot of the time people celebrate their birthday when it's convenient, not necessarily the same day of their actual birthday....could be where he first saw her.

I am chomping at the bit to know if the perp was 'inspired' by the Short murders to carry out his crime as he did.....

Hope we will have photos of the cabin soon. I wonder if it was somewhat "abandoned" by the family and that's how he was able to get away with keeping her there. Thank God she found a way to escape. Can't wait to hear her story.

There's a news report (I think HEAVY) in which neighbors said that the parents had a house elsewhere and that JP and his brother lived in this house at times. I don't think this was a primary residence.

I do think LE played a huge role in helping to keep Jayme alive. By keeping a lot of pressure on the perp, it made it impossible for him to move her or do anything. Basically he was kept frozen in his tracks in that little cabin.

This is certainly one thing they did right! They did everything right that they possibly could!

OH WOW !! Woke up this morning to this wonderful news that Jayme has been found and ALIVE !! Amen for miracles.
She will now have to endure more emotional havoc and will have to continue on without her parents but for her to survive and escape..it sounds like she is a tough one and I can see her as she grows older becoming an advocate or supporter for those who survive and endure such cruelness at the hands of these monsters.

It's genetics. It happens to some people that they bald in their early 20s or go fully grey in their early 20s, or early menopause can happen in the early 20s too.
