Found Alive WI - Jayme Closs, 13, Barron, missing after parents found shot, 15 Oct 2018 *Arrest* #35

One of my former coworkers had bragged endlessly about how she and her husband and three kids were living “free” in their foreclosed house for over two years. They finally were evicted, but, as she said, they were able to save over $50,000 for a downpayment on a new home since they hadn’t paid their mortgage in over two years.

I saw a news report on foreclosures that mentioned the average time between the beginning of foreclosure proceedings and eviction was more than 12 months.

We have one that's 9 years and running - all the while, owner has been collecting rent. foreclosures are tough IMO

No evidence that he knew Closs family. Went to great lengths to prepare to take Jayme.

She didn't have a sense of how long she had been kept in the home in the Town of Gordon, and she didn't want anything to eat or drink, but she was cold and wrapped herself in a blanket.

That is so sad to hear.
Although she looked malnourished, she wasn't hungry, and couldn't recall how long she had been kidnapped.
Wonder if this is the body's way of coping, her mind forgetting.
Hope so, as she may not remember horrible events.
