It will get harder as more get ring cams and cell phones everywhere... in 4/5 years police shoot high speed drone to location for video then vehicles head towards scene...drone can stay or follow perp...or return if goose chase...

Nothing’s completely safe..

It said JTP applied online for liquor job... your telling me he applied online.. and was on computer and never looked at his own case...he had to be... wouldn’t put fake tips or anything past this guy.. he is off the charts.. has to be some trail before or after the Crime if he’s on computer sending out resumes..
Do we we even know yet if he had his own computer at his house, or was he going to the library or his moms or somewhere else to use a computer?

Ariel Castro had the isolation, space, and restraint system to keep women undetected. JP didn't plan for, or have any of this. No way he could do shift work and keep Jayme, IMO.

Something was going to have to give, and it did.
I know, it just doesn't make sense, does it? He had nothing prepared to keep JLC.

I truly don’t know... if there was one cops likely took that first..

Only thing I have for reference is grandad saying he liked computer games ... that could be last week... or could be 3 yrs ago...?? So I don’t know ...

In one article a friend from high school said JP had no computer in his home, but it's hard to know if he has one now. I'm sure his mother had one and he had told JLC he was going to visit his mother that day, so maybe he went there and used his mother's comp to fill out the job application.

When JP entered basic, do we know if he was sent to Parris Island or San Diego?

I just realized he filled out that job application the day she was able to escape. Makes you wonder if she took the chance that day because something felt different and she knew if she didn't get out that day it wasn't going to end well.

I think it said that he left that day to visit his mother. We heard that it looks like he probably didn't have internet at the Gordon house, other than maybe his phone. Speculation on my part but maybe one of the things he did regularly when visiting his mother was use the internet. And on the internet maybe one of the things he did was check for emails from his temp agency, or check his indeed account.

True. And we did see the door pretty much shattered. He'd studied enough to know where to shoot to get it open.
MY guess knowing the workings of a deadbolt, was that the gunshot did little too actually open the door, I am betting that he more than likely ended up breaking the door jamb to force his way in....MOO

I do. In the hopes that we can find some way to prevent monsters in the future.
Or at least know what to look for! There is a lot of research about how the mind of a killer works. We know that certain types of criminals cannot be rehabilitated. At least we can try to figure out how to prevent this type of crime from happening in the first place. Imo

On top of that, JTP stated that he shot james closs thru the window in the door, Would have been very easy to reach thru the window of the door and unlock the door. I conclude that by shooting the deadbolt he actually made it alot harder on himself to actually get the door open....MOO

Yes..that's in the complaint. The gun shot didn't completely work so he hit it twice with his shoulder.

Deleted. Information on where JP stole license plate to use in crimes already answered.

I still don't understand if he wanted to take JLC, he saw her, she was his objective, why wouldn't he have prepared to take care of her? Shampoo and soap are cheap and easily bought. His sisters clothes must have been far too large for her. And he made her hide under a bed and put music on to muffle any noise she made. Then he left for her for 12 hours at Christmas. All of that would point to impulsive behavior, not planning well. But then he plans, or so he says, minute details of the home invasion and abduction and even puts it on hold a couple of times because things are "right" or "perfect", so he's not impulsive about that. It makes me wonder if the objective was JLC or was it to terrorize a town by a horrific abduction and then disappearance of a child? and if so, why Barron? Why not Gordon? Or Haugen? Or even Superior?
ETA, did he just want to be famous? He had to know this was international news, is that what he was looking for? Is that the motivation his atty's have been promising to tell us?

IMO, killing was an important part of his plan/fantasy, along with taking Jayme, doing whatever, and not keeping her any length of time. I think the 2nd part of his plan changed fairly quickly. It just doesn't seem like he planned to keep her at the house with family visiting etc, and he came up with a plan on the fly- containers and barbells. Wait, what?

Will be interesting if we find out the details of Jayme's ordeal, although I would be fine if no one ever heard.

I just wonder if looking Jayme in the eyes made him flinch on his original plan.
