Re: the odd jobs JP was supposedly doing.....Have you heard a quote from a single person he worked for? Wouldn't you think the media had pretty much interviewed all of the limited number of people living in that town? Even the people who lived on the street said they didn't recognize him. I think the dude was snuggled in reading and smoking and not out hustling to clean gutters! (Maybe he was washing clothes in the plethora of machines people have identified!) MOO, of course.
idk. A lot of people run ads for handyman work in ads like Craigslist or something. So, he might have traveled a bit for odd jobs. But whatever the case, I have a hard time thinking his dad just handed him money, not insisting he do something to sustain himself, at least partially.

Do you mean the evidence before Jayme was found? If so, I would say it was to preserve some evidence for the killer to substantiate as evidence. And Jayme, too.

After she was found. I think that is to protect her story. As far as her smiling, who knows? She may have been responding to a cue from the photographer... maybe she is so happy to be with her aunts and cousins.

I kind of think the pictures *may* have been taken through the windows by over zealous reporters, and I get what you are saying those items may have been relics from when JP’s sister lived there.
Yes, and the way they say the pictures "emerged" makes it sound like they could have been taken anytime. It's intentionally vague. Imo

This is the first case that I know of where all the details of what happened weren’t immediately released. I’m wondering if it’s because Jayme didn’t tell everything yet, LE purposefully is doing so to give her space to heal or possibly nothing beyond fear & physical abuse happened (I hope)?

Do any of you think withholding this info from the public is a good thing? Would releasing it be beneficial in any way to the victim? I would think this would make someone more vulnerable. I’m not sure it would help at all with their healing. They probably just want to live privately and be at peace.

I also wonder if all this “hero” and “smiling” stuff is a good thing for Jayme. Seems like a lot of pressure to put on her.
This is an ongoing investigation and prosecution. All we have been privy to is that arrest affidavit, which is always vague.

We are entitled to nothing, and the lack of information is completely standard.

I’m actually a bit surprised that we learned as much as we did, but most of that information is due to this guy talking.

Most suspects don’t do that.

Yes, we still don't know where those pictures cane from or how old they are. Some assume they may be of the sisters room when she lived there. It obviously is not Patterson's room with the bed he made her stay under. Imo

None of the pictures show the rooms that would matter or the bed or the weights, etc. I agree. But we can determine one thing. They are current and someone leaked them or let someone in to take them or they come from a Patterson family member or friend who would have such pictures. I seriously doubt even a friend would have those kinds of pictures. So imho we can narrow it to that point. I am not even sure a family member would typically have such pictures... jmo...

Hmmm....and maybe they're not really pictures of the Patterson house at all. Odd that no media outlet but the perennially inaccurate Daily Mail got photos! Even the well-heeled HLN network couldn't take their own? Their people were in town to film the show but they credited Daily Mail for the P house photos.

There were actually three separate organizations that had photos of that house. All were published around the same time, and were attributed to different people/organizations.

The Daily Mail, Radar Online, and the New York Post.

I’m confident they’re legit.

Hard to know isn't it? There is the possibility it isn't even that house but that would be media really lying big time.

LE even gave an interview to the Daily Mail before Jayme escaped so unsure.

But at the very least I just think intentionally leaked (and again notice none of them show "evidence" that matters) or someone let someone in or on the property to take them or they came from the Patterson family. But again, even there, maybe in a divorce file but I doubt it, no family member just takes random pictures of rooms. Realtors do, even if the property is not all clean and perfect, that is another thought, could be from another time, even not used but sold.... They were in, if I remember correctly, Daily Mail, Radar and CNN and some had a few others....

Food for thought. I do know there is not one thing in them probably that tells us much of anything, just like the ones at the initial crime scene and where did some of them come from over time...?

Wouldn't surprise me at all. I've never really paid attention to them because we can't even be sure it's the right house. Imo

People keep referring to the arrest affidavit--are we talking about the criminal complaint? because every time i see affidavit i think there is some document that i have not seen...

That kind of makes me laugh because they are among the ones I trust the least. Were the photos identical?

There was a man who said this in reference to JTP doing odd jobs.

Snipped:
"Ron Kofal, a lifelong Gordon resident who lives about a mile from the cabin where Jayme was held, said he met Mr. Patterson at the ICO gas station on Highway 53. He said Mr. Patterson, whom he described as “clean cut and shy,” sometimes performed odd jobs around town, like yard work and cabin maintenance, and had seemed pleasant in his interactions with him."

‘How Could We Not Know?’ Kidnapping Suspect Hid in Plain Sight

Just think, two weeks ago we were all pulling our hair out, coming up with different motives, suspects and how the crime played out.
If we pieced bits and pieces from various theories, I’m still not sure we would have come up with what we now know.
Of course, we will continue to learn more.
Anyone know how soon my hair will take to come back?

I appreciate that you are always on top of things here. This had rabbit hole and distraction written all over it. And I would probably have helped it along, haha!
