It is common sense that during the 88 day period, if they knew about the Taurus , they should have put it out there. That is what you do. Who cares about the percentages of what it can and cannot lead them to. They had nothing. Begging the public for help, tree lighting ceremonies, that one tip, Thanksgiving and Christmas without Jayme, yet you had a car that you remember now so well and you don't ask the public for help?
One more question for those of you who don't think an apb immediately after finding double homicide. If it was your daughter or niece in that trunk and she went on to whatever hell she lived with for 88 days and the perp was the only car that LE seen in the area, not 10, 20 or 100, the ONLY car, you wouldn't question why they didn't mention it or look for it that night?
It is disturbing to think that if things had ended differently, we likely would never be privy to the officer's ability to provide a vehicle description, which of course, as we now know, was not shared nor followed up on. I doubt they would ever disclose that fact if JC or/and others had also ended up murdered. How often do crimes get messed up from errors in judgment via LE, which we never know about? Something to think about, isn't it? Troublesome thoughts! You're right, of course. I don't know why they didn't. I'm trying to make excuses and think deep thoughts about reasons that only law enforcement can know, but it does seem like a major oversight. Thank the gods she's OK, or this would be a very different conversation.
I have a question with reference to the photo below. It looks so cold and snowy outside but I do have to ask why the outbuilding to the left of the photo is devoid of any snow on the left sloping roof of the outbuilding. To me, it says it is flipping warm in there compared to everywhere else. What am I getting at? I really don’t know but as sure as hell that outbuilding is losing enough heat out the roof enough to make the Snow not even be there. Just curious nothing more.
I truly don't believe it was a LE conspiracy. JMOThis may be an unpopular opinion, and that's all it is- my opinion-- but I think it's plausible that officer Fick did not actually see a car, or if he did, the ONLY thing he remembered seeing was ONLY a car, and no other details- and once JP was arrested and it came out that he had a maroon Taurus, LE added the more specific details to the criminal complaint (he saw a car vs. he seen a maroon Taurus with silver trim).... (almost to tie the whole thing together and present it with a bow) additionally, I also believe that JP would not have shot at officers if he was pulled over, especially considering how easily he surrendered himself (yes, I realize that he just shot two people)- HOWEVER, I think that that detail was added to the criminal complaint so that the public would give officers a 'pass' for not pulling him over- JP might have said he would shoot officers, but it might have been coaxed out of him (think- "what would you have done if you got pulled over?" would you have shot if the officers stopped you?" "yes, i would have shot anyone that tried stopping me") and then that gets added to the CC.) Just another perspective to think about- likely, I am wrong, but I thought y'all might like to ponder my crazy conspiracy (also, I apologize if this makes zero sense, I am half asleep)
Don't they write up incident reports immediately after ? That would give us the definitive answer IMO.I truly don't believe it was a LE conspiracy. JMO
I am wondering the same! Does anyone know the time of the hearing?Do we know if we'll be able to watch it and where? (I looked but I don't see anything.)

I'm not LE so I can't answer that question. I can only guess that after this officer arrived on scene of a horrific double murder <with the scene of Denise especially YKWIM>, he might have had a traumatic response as well. Yes, they are trained LE but they are also human too.Don't they write up incident reports immediately after ? That would give us the definitive answer IMO.
In the spirit of locking away JP & throwing away the key as fast as possible, I’m thinking this tree should have been taken down. Don’t want defense to successfully claim bias & get any kind of break, even if just in delay or change of venue. MOOPaul Blume on Twitter
