I did a Google search "Jayme Closs" and got a link to a WCCO CBS Minnesota article reporting that Jayme started High School. Article unavailable. Suspect family requested it brought down which I believe is best. Let her finish childhood as much of a child as possible. If she wants media attention let it be on her terms when she is ready.

I’m so happy for her. She’s such a smart young lady. I bet she tested right out of the year she missed. Now she can honor her parents by moving forward and being successful. Blessings to her & her family.

That is wonderful news! Yes, life on her terms! Sums it up!

I can't believe that within 5-6 weeks, it will mark one year since this occurred. Poor Jayme, living such an awful nightmare like that. It is such a shame that no one could find a trace of her. How many times did that poor girl cry for help silently, waiting day after day for someone to hopefully rescue her. So heartbreaking.

Yes & I personally often think mostly of the horror of the crime itself. But here there’s the media, the sherriff’s statements, the principal’s statements, the funerals, the searches, the vigils, the community meetings, the public statements of high-profile victims (ES etc), dedicated songs on the Voice, the legal process/hearings of the kidnapping murderer, the prison updates, plus the freaking panty thief & demolition of the house! I feel like this is her first opportunity to come up for air.

I know. That poor girl. I can't even imagine that trauma and surviving it. I just pray she doesn't end up like the daughter in the Groene family murders (I am DELIBERATELY leaving her first name out). My heart just breaks for both girls, although one is older now. That terror, that trauma, that pain, that devastation, and then to have to live with the animal that caused it all for several months! How many times did that poor girl cry out for her Mom and Dad? She is a strong and an amazing young lady- to survive all that, and somehow manage to get away, bless her heart.

No, they aren't. There's innocent people in prison and people in for minor things that don't make them evil or despicable.

I agree. America has the largest prison population in the world, by a mile. Over 2 million are currently banged up and I'm sure a huge chunk of these are for "non-evil" crimes.

We are approaching the one year mark of this horrible offense. I hope Jayme is getting the love and support she needs daily. I know many of us continue to pray for her healing. Does anyone know if the PO box address is still active for her? Thank you.
It was only available for six months. If a forwarding address was provided the PO will forward for another six months. Problem is that LE was screening everything before it got to JC and family. Don't know ow long into the future that would happen.
