A hunch: JS reads about the case and talks about it with a bunch of people. Like the conversations on WS, it isn’t long before speculation morphs into fact that she’s sure she heard somewhere, maybe even LE. So, when she speaks to Radar, she “embellishes” her story without even realizing it. JMO.

Good theory.

The problem I have with the article is how would even LE know the difference between her Mom's voice yelling for help or Jayme's voice. If the only thing heard is a cry for help then it would be tough to tell the difference I would think.

An adult woman may sound very young when in stress and cryout out for help. Unless LE knew it came from Jayme's phone would be the only way to assume that I would think.

The other issue I have with the witness saying that is she said she thought the shots were because of someone shooting a bear. WTH?

I live rural and we have plenty of shots going off near me but most everyone knows it is illegal to be hunting and shooting after dark because of the safety regulations (cant see what you are shooting at or what is behind it after dark).

There are very few things to legally hunt after dark and those usually involve special licenses. Racoon hunting using dogs to tree them is one of them.

So even if hunting bear after dark with a special license is allowed it is very very unusual and very rare.

Any time I hear shots after dark I assume a neighbor is shooting a varmint in the yard illegally because its after hours. When I hear shots after dark it immediately gets my attention because I know its mostly illegal without the special hunting permits I mentioned.

If she was familiar with the area and hunting rules around where she lived I would expect her to know this. Shots after dark are rare and they command attention because unless its someone shooting a varmint illegally then the other option is possibly a murder like in this case.

Thanks. Guess shows you I’m not up to speed......

The photo looks recent, and it looks like nice
Vacation hotel or something... did they take any trips recently??

She is wearing a dance costume. Some dance groups travel far.

Dude suggested the Dells which is two hours away. Maybe.

I looked at hotels in Barron. I don’t think so.

Stout?

There is another tourist place. Is it Jellystone?

And there is or was sone kind of circus thing?

My neices do dance competitions and they go to Minneapolis. Maybe Jayme went to Madison or Milwaukee

Maybe. It could also be she never said it at all. Considering it's Radar, I'm not thinking there's a whole lot of 'journalistic integrity' preventing them from just pulling things out of their... whatever.

Really wish we could see a bit more in the background. The roof beams look similar to the ones in the St. Croix Casino-Turtle Lake pool, as do the dark tiles seen in this photo:

Unfortunately there are very few photos of the pool (from all angles) to try and make a perfect distinction.

Wow. Looks like it!

Do they have kids dance there for some reason? She has on a dance costume

As others have pointed out it is part of a tiled swimming pool. You can see the words "No Diving(Running?)" written on the concrete.
Where do you see those words? I see water and an edge of a pool, but can't make out any words. I was thinking maybe a spa.
Would a 13 year old be allowed in a casino??

After seeing the video interview and reading what the neighbors have said or not said, I get the feeling they don’t really know anything either. I get the vibe that they were kind of just looking for what Andy Warhol promised them back in ‘68. Might just be me though.

I use facetime from a foreign country to speak with my family for free. I use an iPad and they have iPhones.

It is like talking to them right at their house. You see them and they see you

does the devices log that facetime is used? who it contacted?

Why is everyone still commenting that RADAR is the source. Elektroangel clearly gives another source. Forget the neighbors.
From the other source - if you do a word search on the whole page, the subject is mentioned 3 times. Twice implies no communication or anything worth noting, and one time mentions "help", but not who said it. Then there's ones not mentioned there, like the "muffled under a blanket" thing.

Classic Fitzgerald.

Let us hear the recording.

Kids go to casino hotels all of the time. Many people have pool birthday parties for kids at casino hotels.

Jayme has on her dance costume. Would there be a dance show at the casino or what could be the reason she is wearing a dance costume?

HUMAN - I"M NOT COMING AT YOU HERE JUST TRYING TO MAKE SENSE
Well considering that her best friend posted the pic, I would assume that her best friend took the pic. Maybe LE lent them a phone from the evidence room but I'm just gonna go with something along the lines of a possible outing for dance that may or may not be at the casino hotel pool. Maybe The closs family brought Jayme's friend along on one of Jim's wild gambling sprees and this could be the clue we've all been looking for or just maybe it has absolutely nothing to do with this crime

That isn't a dance costume. It's a shirt. With sequins. All the rage these days.

Really? Do you have any pictures of shirts like that?

I am in a foreign country so at a disadvantage. But kids here do follow the fads, Anything with rhinestones does not look like a dance costume here

Pool area?
*shrug* Probably. Maybe. Who cares? Should we try and identify every location that Jayme was at in every photo that's been released? The only reason that photo was brought up in the first place was on the idea that it was taken in Closs basement, and thus solve the stairs mystery. But hey, don't let me get in the way of another wild turkey chase. :)

I do not know what the device would do in its internal workings, but sometimes my husband will be contacted when I am not home and I see that my daughter has called.

Not sure what the indication was. I simply noted it happened. I also get notification that someone called if we weren’t home.
