JMO w/o enough info, but it is almost sounding like "someone(s)" is trying to blame this on the dog, and on Reena/Renna (still not sure of correct spelling).

News articles continue to spell her name Renna but what really bothers me is the one which stated (paraphrased) that searchers were calling-out her name, "Renna...Renna...". If this is indeed true, the error was truly troubling. Her name Reena does not sound at all the same.

Note that even the sheriff called her Renna when he announced that her body had been found.

Reenas father had to be dragged out of the canal once the police arrived! They would not allow family to search why? Not sure. The dog took Reena's father close to where she was ,and he was only a few steps away from finding her when they dragged him out of the canal.

SBM. Danielle, can you please clarify was Tom dragged out of the canal when LE first arrived the same day she went missing? So why did that baby have to be in there for nearly 24 hours before she was found?

So after mom and dad searched for her for an hour (6-7), the fisherman called 911 and when LE got there the dad was in the canal searching? But they took him out and would not let him search? And he was steps away from where they ended up finding her? Wow!

Yes that is troubling. Even family friends commenting on fb spelled it Renna.

Yep, they sure did. Spelling mistakes are not uncommon and can be easily forgiven; spoken words present an entirely different matter.

If I were missing (and if shana were my real name), I would not answer to someone calling-out SHAWnuh, SHAWnuh, since my hat is pronounced as SHAYnuh.

BIG difference; and in this instance, *could* have been critical.

Correct spelling for Reena's name

Hi All ... I found this link from earlier:

Danish also said her daughter's name is Reena and not Renna as was previously reported by law enforcement officials.

Reena was returned home TWICE on the day she went missing.
Tom Williams is father; not step-dad
Tom has two grown daughters; read their older FB posts before giving $ to anyone but funeral home; Shirts & bracelets being sold as 'fundraiser'
Reena's mom no longer works at casino; she babysits!!

Are the grown daughters BK-I and EN?

Welcome to Websleuths!

Are you a case insider, a potential verified poster?

If so or not, do you have any info on whether the Wells Fargo account is managed by Reena's grandfather? If so, grandfather on which side of the family?

I've not read here that anyone considered TW a step-father to Reena; rather, I noted that TW was a stepson to Jason's father (surname Bratley).

TIA

Welcome. This is very interesting information. Any idea how long it's been since Reena's mom has worked at the casino? Does she babysit at home??

I don't understand why she was napping for so long, if she was a babysitter/

I thought it made sense if she worked nights at the casino. But if she was a babysitter, why was she asleep when her little girl kept running off all day?

Very good point. I assumed she was sleeping before a night shift.

Thank you for posting and Welcome to WS.

Can you clarify what you mean in the above bolded text? Those pages are private, so we cannot see "older posts".

Just so everyone knows where this info on the Grandfather overseeing the fund is coming from; it is a comment posted by a relative. See link below.

:what: Just WHAT do the shirts say......... for a fundraiser?

:furious: :maddening::maddening: Missing once, missing twice, third times the.... ?

You have to be kidding me.

Yes, I so noted when I posted the link to the article late last night. :)

Quoting myself here to clarify:

When I found the very short article late that night, I was reluctant but then decided to post about the grandfather based on a Comment. At the time there was just a handful of Comments but as of just now there are 48 of them - a lot of bickering and finger-pointing, etc. :-/

I had hoped that another article/news source would be forthcoming but so far none has surfaced.

Even though there are more mentions of the grandfather in the Comments, it's probably best to discount that information until MSM confirms it or provides other details about Reena's memorial fund.

My apologies for posting about the grandfather in the first place. :-(

Shanna, I didn't see a link to the news story in your post (referring to the one where you ask if a poster is a verified insider). That's why I posted with the story link, to point out the comment.

No need to apologize. I appreciate that you pointed out what was being said in regards to who was in control of the account. I think discussion of money (particularly in this case) is very distasteful.

you'd think the family would be grieving and going through a lot of self loathing of their neglect instead of asking for money.
