Police Chief Brad Wentlandt Greenfield, WI began press conference -introducing many people involved in responding/investigating this crime.
 
2 officers engaged with shooter
 
FBI handling investigation; being treated as a "domestic terrorist"-type incident.
 
FBI is handling the criminal case...treating this as domestic terrorism.
 
10 am press conference set for 2morrow.
 
"The investigation starts now." Another presser 10 a.m. tomorrow.
 
Information about the suspect "being checked into."

Domestic terrorist is someone from this country engaged in terrorist-type activity.
 
Can't give information about number of shooters.
 
IMO, they know who the shooter is.

At conf-- Mayor, Oak Creek fire chief, sheriff's office inspector, Milwaukee County DA, Special agent ATF, FBI agent,
Chief of Oak Creek Police Department:

Heroic action of officers stopped this from being as bad as it could have been. Officer was ambushed. Another officer on scene was engaged by suspect and suspect is deceased due to officer. There was a service going on. They got conflicting reports about how many people were involved. They still don't have victim or suspect numbers for sure. FBI and ATF are assisting.
Gave out family assistance number -- ONLY FOR FAMILIES.
Doing another press conference at 10 a.m. tomorrow.
At beginning stages of investigation.
Not going to give specifics on demographics of victims and perp --
7 deceased and 3 injured.
Are going to charge initially under domestic terrorism statutes.
There's nobody left in the temple.
Temple is a crime scene -- not available for religious purposes.
When they got there, they had an individual (suspect) down, but they didn't know if there were more inside.
Don't have any numbers or demographics.
Will not get into the personal info about suspect or info about investigation.
 
No more info will be released till 10am press conference 2morrow.
 
Tactical officers on scene are standing down and hydrating. They will keep scene secure. Crime scene techs will come in and identify victims and process scene.
 
Greenfield Police Chief: Best information is that there was only one gunman. Best time to ask questions will be tomorrow at 10 a.m.

They believe there was only one shooter but they're not 100 percent sure - two handguns found on the scene, semi automatic.

They know who the one shooter is but need time to contact his family and investigate him and people who knew him.
 
Hospital spokesman -- audio is terrible; I can't hear much.
