Now I want to know why Nadya would buy video games for the kids when most games are labled with warnings in conjunction with ADD. (I have to read the warnings again, but something about seizure activity? Anyone else ever see that warning?)

ETA: The warning is on the games to warn of possible seizure activity but they want to bump up the warning to include photosensitivity epilepsy.

I was wrong about the ADD and the warning.

So I guess there is a chance that the Wii will babysit should Nadya buy it?

I want to know why CPS isn't checking into this woman???? She has no right to have any of her children in her 'possession' at the moment at all. God help these babies, they better take them away from her. She's a lying nutcase. That doctor better have his license removed too.

This woman is driving me nuts!

We've been talking about this in my Sociology of Sex Roles class and our discussions get pretty heated!

Seriously. I have one child and while I would have liked to have had another, we choose not to because of my health. I had a lot of problems with my pregnancy (12 years ago) that have not all went away. I live with chronic back pain, am not on disability, although I think I could have persued it, - I had some problems with back and legs/feet prior to getting pregnant, there is no doubt my pregnancy and the resulting issues (staph infection after the c-sect.) aggervated it.

I became a SAHM, not by choice, but by the reality that I could at best, work part time, and after looking at all the factors, we decided it would be better to stay home. Even part time would make the health issues worse, and when you added in day care, expenses for working, higher taxes, etc. it didn't make sense. Would I have liked to? Yes, and you know I still would. But, I write, I volunteer as I can, I teach in our faith, and of course take care of house and home, but, it is a chore, I have had to work within limitations. I have had friends and family, and of course, DH, help a great deal, especially in the year after I had my baby, but, even since.

Seeing all this with Octomom and her expectations and all is just so frustrating.

Medusa, Stay at home moms are the strength of this country. Same goes for fathers who stay home while mom works.
I'm sorry to hear about your back troubles and that it kept you from having more kiddies or having a career.
For you and the others here who have cited health problems keeping you all from a fuller life, my heart goes out to you. It must be so difficult and so frustrating for you and the others to see how this Octomom story is unfolding. I see this as being so unfair to all of you. Almost like a slap in the face for doing your best.
I truly hope she and the medical professions who inabled her are investigated and that a good and healthful solution is found to make sure all her children a cared for in a positive manner.
These posts where you all unvail your sacrifies in the sake of your children really touches my heart. I'm sad about this entire story.

Can you share what some of the popular opinions are?

Since you are younger than I am, what is your opinion about Nadya's behavior? Sometimes it's nice to hear what a younger person thinks, I hope you don't mind me asking? :blowkiss:

Thanks, Azwriter. For the most part I am okay with things. It is just that we/I had plans that changed outside of our control. Of course, that is life and all, but, sometimes it still bugs me.

Basically, I try to make lemonade out of lemons. And I would not change a thing if it meant my darling, darling daughter had not come into my life. She makes it worthwhile.

I'd think most of her kids are too little for video games. The 6-7 year old would probably be happy with a Playstation II. I'll bet the WII is for Nadya to do the workouts and try to get back in shape. I hear it's really good for keeping track of getting into shape.

Here's the story about the other possible "multiple" pregnancy connected to the same doctor. Although, this woman is denying that he is her fertility specialist and is asking to be left alone. It's interesting that this 49 yr old woman got pregnant from a younger woman's egg donations. Maybe that was another one of Nadya "alternate sources of income"?

33 is old for an egg donor. They need the youngest, freshest eggs to use for women who can't get pregnant using their own.

It appears to be unfolding that Suleman had an obsession with Angelina...you all have likely discussed this already. It is one of the top stories on the CNN website...

I agree JB!

The Daily Mirror from England has more on her nanny. I don't know why I didn't pick up on this earlier today.

Part:

She acknowledges her life would be an almost impossible struggle without the sterling help of
El Salvadorean nanny Aracelli.
Nadya reveals: “I have her from Monday to Friday and pay her $500 (£350) a week.
“Aracelli’s very, very helpful. She works overtime, doing 12-hour days, and doesn’t ask for more money. She’s a big help. My first six kids all listen to her.”

I thought about this the other day and promptly forgot - but where does gran and grandpa sleep?

I am an idjit that doesn't know how to post a link, but TMZ has new snaps of Octomom GETTING HER NAILS DONE today!!!!

AAAARRRRGGGH!

Here you go Galvino - second story down.

Good catch!

Btw - Octomum is giving lots of interviews to the British rags - newspapers.

When most people "go into hiding", doesn't that mean they hide? Not shop for Wii, not get their nails done, etc... :waitasec: (If I keep scratching my head like this, I am going to wear a hole clear through it!)

She's mentally ill. I'm furious that any health care professional would not have had the sense to say NO to her requests to have more children.

How this can happen, and this woman get publicity interviews--something is terribly, terribly wrong.

I just want to make sure that I have this straight, this woman is now up to 14 kids all under age 7, with no job (professional student doesn't count, IMO), no man, very limited support, and no real resources whatsoever to speak of?
And to top it off, while 8 of these kids that she loves sooooo much are still in the hopsital, she is out getting her nails done? (For the record, acrylics and french tips don't go so well with 8 newborns).

And at one recent point, I was called unfit by a total stranger for having 4 kids under 6 at the age of 23. Wow...I wonder what that person thinks about this?

well the nails will come in very handy if someone goes through with these 'death threats'.
