Very interesting case. Where is Jeff Crawford? Is he also a victim or was he involved in the deaths of Ashley & Tonda?

Family of missing man continues search

Speaking to the Point Pleasant Register this weekend, Jeff’s mother Shela Crawford of Gallipolis Ferry said no one in the family has heard from her son, and there’s been no bank activity or cell phone activity since he went missing in June. Shela said she’s accepted the grim reality that her son is likely dead. She and her family also firmly believe Jeff had nothing to do with the murders of Ashley and Tonda, despite having been named a person of interest in the case.

Sheila said the family is attempting to bring in Texas Equusearch Mounted Search and Recovery Team to assist in the search. Sgt. EB Starcher of the Mason County Detachment of the W.Va. State Police said he has also talked with Equusearch which worked on the high-profile Caylee Anthony case.

I am thinking of Jeffrey Crawford and how he has not been found as of yet. I feel for his loved ones and hope he is found soon.
 
The family of a missing Mason County man is hoping a reward, and upcoming benefit to raise money for that reward, will help bring him home.

but a witness who came forward, claiming to have been present when Crawford allegedly killed the two women.

No other information was given about the witness other than they came forward on July 28, a day after the bodies of the two women were identified after being found buried in Gallipolis Ferry.

I think the witness to the murders must have had info that only the murderer or someone who was there would have in order to be credible enough to the state police to issue the warrants.

interesting case....I am going to read up on it, I don't recall this one.
 
Just a few weeks later, after extensive searching, the bodies of Ashley Crawford and Tonda Nelson were found in a shallow grave off Duncan Creek Road.

Investigators said they died from blows to the head.

"I don't think it's any closer to being solved, three years later than it was two weeks after it happened," said Kim Roach.

West Virginia State Police said an eyewitness put Jeff Crawford at the scene taking part in the crime -- not as a victim.
