I can see Royal Russel Long being the perpetrator...
However, given the circumstances, it is possible that they were the target of human traffickers. It's always been happening in rural states, but awareness has only grown in the last decade...
Small, isolated areas with a not-so-good quality of life are perfect hunting grounds for both traffickers and serial killers... Connections to major highways mean they can also travel far away easily...
